My house looks like all the normal wear and tear with some scratches from my dog. I gave her my deposit to clean and fix the scratches. Now she wants to sue because she wants to replace her doors on my dime. FYI, the scratches did not even break the paint....

Hi :) This is a short we took from a longer video about mistakes we find in listings like Yelp, Bing, Google, or Apple Maps. Sometimes properties going through rebranding forget to change their name or URL on those listings, and potential renters have a hard time find them. Things like that.

We have reported all of our issues. This house is falling apart and they have never addressed and deleted maintenance requests. 4 years no maintenance besides new septic due to leaking sewage.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development says that carpets should be replaced in a rental every seven years. This means that you can only charge a tenant for carpet damage within those 7 years. Some states have specific laws on the length carpet can be charged against a deposit. Check you specific state laws to be sure.

Most of these pictures do not look as bad as what I'm currently dealing with as a homeowner. My property manager sent me pictures from the last inspection that make that bathtub in this video look clean in comparison not to mention, they have ripped one of the knobs off in the tub. The scratched up wall from the dog looks about the same, the carpet is ripped in the middle from one end of the room to the other end, the bathroom vanity is destroyed, but they are claiming it is water damage from a leak that they obviously waited way too long to report. There is also extensive water damage to the linoleum flooring throughout the house. I have a citation from the city for a tree they also didn't report, and there is a bunch of trash in the yard including what appears to be several badly damaged doors I'm pretty sure were ripped out of my house. They are currently still living there at this time, and while they often pay the rent late, they do pay the full rent. I'm annoyed because I decided not to raise their rent because of the pandemic and the husband being in between jobs. It frustrates me that people can tear things up so much and live in such squalor. I'm planning on calling my insurance company tomorrow (they aren't open today) and asking them what can be covered along with what to do about this. I'm a little worried if I put them out, they might tear things up even more if they get angry about it, but I also don't want them to continue to destroy the place.

It has gotten so bad here state and local authorities need to be contacted. There are homeless shelters nicer than this place. Trash from one end to the other. Allowing metheads to run entire buildings....... it's so very depressing paying 1200-2000 to live in a complete dump. It should be illegal if I don't see some changes made in the next couple of weeks and stuff I have complained about that is highly illegal I am definitely contacting the state. This is slumlording and whoever is running this place is highly incompetent.

I once pulled on that thing to turn on the light in a new place. It fell down, I didn’t pull hard or anything. We had it replaced and they didn’t happen again, so improper installation

I know that's some funny stuff right here. Not one apartment looks remotely this good. Meth infestation, big time. There is stuff going on so bad here I am about to contact a local news department. It would be a decent place to live if things were ran correctly. Entrance doors need fixed badly. Someone has tried breaking in my apartment five times this week and today I finally got some pictures snapped. The downstairs, the guy living there is on crack or meth, freaks out and broke his living room window out. 5o plus different people roaming the halls at night..... a zombie lady on meth outside my door coughing and gagging and spitting up all over my door and the hallway, it's just unreal. They need to get a grip on this place and fast. They have no clue. People are scared and those are the ones paying their rent like they are supposed to. It's worse than the conditions I lived in , in Detroit. It's worse than section 8! It's even worse than a homeless shelter! Absolutely these places should not be renting for more than 500 a month with the way it is right now.

Good points. The luxury apartments have a lot of baked in extras like the coworking space, terrace, spa, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, etc,. Along with being people who can afford that lifestyle. All these things add up

I used to live here in 2003 to 2005. Horrible insect problem with ants and scorpions to be specific. Had to buy our own heavy duty ant killer spray and spray the outside ourselves from the first floor aiming to the second. Had contacted athletes foot from the pool. And if you use the common laundry area be careful, your clothes will get stolen or taken out of the wash and left on the floor wet.

It's too bad that your neighbors throw trash all over the parking lots and public areas. There is trash all around the postal boxes from your neighbors pulling it out of their boxes and throwing on the ground. The spot for dropping off your trash which costs you $12.00 per month is always trashed. Maintenance on the buildings is horrible.. Management only cares about getting your money and raising your rent and hoping that your are one day late on your rent so that they can charge you 10% late fee.
