Thank You. Firstly, I Love Kieran Kane, seen him, Welsch, Kaplin,,, and now these people. This is cool. I Capo'd up and jammed along rather quickly.

I'm gonna be here for you baby I'll be a man of my word Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard I wanna sleep with you forever And I wanna die in your arms In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us I wanna honor your mother And I wanna learn from your pa I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw I wanna stand out in a crowd for you A man among men I wanna make your world better than it's ever been And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us We'll follow the rainbow Wherever the four winds blow And there'll be a new day Comin' your way I'm gonna be here for you from now on This you know somehow You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now And I'm gonna make you a promise If there's life after this I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll win your trust making memories of us Songwriters: Rodney Crowell I think this is the first time I've seen Rodney play his guitar using a pick to strum.

This Thanksgiving -- instead of Over the River and Through the Woods.... Singing and Sharing this song .. This year !! Eight more miles and I'll be home Back in your grace where I belong Tonight I'm sleeping in my own bed With my blue tick feather pillow underneath my head I feel the wheels on sixty five I don't know when, felt so alive Eight more miles Eight more miles and I'll be home Since I've been gone everything's changed There's been two weeks of steady rain And the dogwoods bloom, pink and white And that damp smell of new cut grass is everywhere tonight Sweet sunny sound, I never knew Just how much I could miss you Eight more miles Eight more miles and I'll be home I crossed the Rockies on a silver train I've walked from Burghan in a pouring rain I met with strangers I came to love And I've gotten drunk with Chieftains in a Dublin hotel pub And I dearly love these memories But all that matters right now to me Is eight more miles Eight more miles and I'll be home Eight more miles Eight more miles and I'll be home

Great song, very touching. The Louisiana Orphan Train Society, Inc. wrote a book titled "From Cradle to Grave: Journey of the Louisiana Orphan Train Riders." It's very educational. It has 89 biographies of orphans who came to Louisiana from New York City. See more at www.amazon.com/Cradle-Grave-Journey-Louisiana-Orphan/dp/1936707004 A portion of the proceeds go to help the Louisiana Orphan Train Society, Inc and their museum.

Hi; i have several of their albums and have lost one. there is a song on there i'd like to have again and i thought you might tell me the name of the song and what album it was on. all i can remember of it is the line......goodbye bowl weevil, i know you got my ........and the birds done got my corn" The chorus may have been..."'pans of biscuits, bowls of gravy; pans of biscuits we shall have". Anyone know this? thank you!

Heard it was written for his wife Claudia. I have only good things to say about this song, whoever sings it, it is a beautiful song. Better than George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" for a wedding or whatever song!
