Hi Erol, I'm the guitarist playing on this track. Glad you like the tone! OK, the guitar I used for this was my Skervesen Shoggie DC7 with Bare Knuckle Warpig Bridge and Neck pickups. Strings were D'addario NXYL (.10-.59) detuned a 1/2 step. I ran this though my Fractal Axe-FXII XL+. I used two unedited, unmodified factory presets, one was called 'Savageness' which was an Engl amp preset and I think the other one was a Diezel VH4 preset. The lead tone was a patch called 'Def Leppard Hysteria FW18.1' which I downloaded from the Axe Change website. The amp used on this preset is a Friedman HBE. On our last album 'Rockturnal', we used the same VH4 preset, a Diezel Herbert preset and the same lead tone. Clean guitars were real acoustic's (6 string Taylor 814ce and a Martin DX 12 string) that we miked up. We did use a clean sound from the Fractal on a couple of bits but I can''t remember which preset it was. The bass guitar for this track was my SGC Nanyo 4 string (P/J pickups), recorded completely dry into the desk. I've had this bass 20+ years and the only thing I've ever changed is the battery and the strings. The bass on 'Rockturnal' was an Ernie Ball/MusicMan Stingray 5 string which I borrowed from a friend. Like mine, this is an unmodified bass apart from the strings which were Ernie Ball Power Slinky Bass (.50-.135.) Whatever the producer did afterwards to the guitars/bass in terms of post production/plugins/EQ etc, I have no idea! When we perform live, I use a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier head and 4x12 cab, Tommy uses a Line 6 Firehawk FX through an Orange Pedal Baby and Marshall 4x12 cab and our bass player uses a Tech 21 Landmark head through an Ampeg 8x10.
