Hey neighbors! Love me some True Value in Bettendorf and Lost Grove Lake! Not sponsored by but my go to shop locally and Matt my guy! I look forward to competing against you guys, or just seeing you on the water! I am former Crappie Pro, but I can beat up some green carp! 🎣 2020 Covid induced strokes took me off the water me unfortunately. I will holler at you when I get on the water again out there! Just wanted to put my two cents in, scent is huge out there for weight! I’m in the 10lb club, but not for IA! Tight lines! <“,)//>{Tim ♥️✝️

I've had a Fury 705cb for years now and I love that thing. I use it for lipless cranks, squarebills, medium diving crankbits, some deep divers (I've thrown up to a 6xd and a Norman DD22 on it with no issues), and even some smaller chatterbaits like the Mini Max. It really is a versatile rod.

Hey guys thanks a lot for spending the time to make videos for all of us. I'm going to be switching over to dobyns as soon as possible. God bless you and your families your pal fisherman Mike from Missouri. Ps guys that champion hp rod I think would be a good bottom contact rod for me thanks again I've seen many of your videos and they are very good, u know what I like about dobyns rod is how extremely well balanced they are.

I went all dobyns last year and now I’m all champ xp or higher for baitcast and 1 xp and 4 kadens for spinning. I actually prefer the kaden over the xp for spinning due to a faster action

Looking at getting a XP 704 Glass for lighter shallow cranks. Have done some cranking on my Sierra 683c and it does a decent job with square bills and lipless - keeps them pinned. Maybe that more parabolic blank the Sierras have!

What are your guys thoughts on the Champ XP 733c? I bought it to throw smaller 1/4oz 3”-3.8” swimbaits on so I was expecting it to have a softer tip but it actually seems to be quite a bit faster than my Champ XP 734c.

👍Really enjoyed the video. Just a quick comment, I like the ability for me to be able to chose my ascent colors when ordering. For myself, Reds are always 6.5/1 Greens are always 7.2/1 and Blues are always 8.1/1

Does anyone have experience throwing the mike bucca 835 swimbait rod? I see lots of content on KZbin for the 836 sb but not much on 835 sb. Thinking of using it to throw the black dog g2 shell cracker (4” 1.5 oz wake/ crank bait)

Love my fury series. But I have to say the 702 is a little under powered for smallmouth. I fish my Ned and Drop shots on the 703 8-17. These open water Lake Mead and Mojave smallies have serious power. Just my opinion, I use the 702 as a trout rod with a 2000 reel. Thoughts? Great show

Depends on the lineup you choose for the 702. I agree it’s more of a medium light, but I caught plenty of 4-5 pound smallies on the 702dx before I upgraded to the 722 DRX. I think it’s a nose hook drop shot setup only, and excels in areas with no cover.

The clips do hold to fish very well. I got a set about 2 weeks ago and tried them on 2 fish in my livewell. Stayed on and i could pick the fish up by the tag without sliding off. Great product

Great review guys 100%! I use the XP735C for pitching creature baits, XP736C has a frog on it 24/7. Can't wait to try our my new XP734C, have a small jig on it right now. The 734 is my 19th Dobyns rod 😉

Don't sleep on the xtasy 724c! For a higher end versatile rod it's hard to beat, can do moving stuff but has excellent sensitivity for jigs and t rigs too. Some what like the 744c rods you mentioned but better to me for the moving baits additionally. Great vid fellas!

Love the dobyns content! In the last couple months I picked up the champion 733c and 734c along with the fury 703c I got a year ago.I was about to order the 764c but after some exchanges with Brice, I decided on the 763c as a little heavier version of the 733. After hearing your description of 764c,I definitely believe I made the right choice. Love all the dobyns content!

Also DOBYNS has a great Special going on currently to test some new Cork-Mix handles on 4 Champion XP models including the 734 & 735. Only $199.99 so tough to pass up. I just bought the new 794.5 model for A- Rigs & Swimbaits. New handle feels great but haven’t had it out on water yet.

Agree 734 Champ is super versatile. If you are not fishing heavy hydrilla I love the 735 Champion XP Glass for chatterbaits…. The best chatterbait rod I have reverted fished. Also agree the Champion XP 764 is a great TX rig rod… love it for 10” worms here in TX.
