DANKE!

It is difficult to learn and play this song? I love this symphony! And also I love the french romantic komponists, like A. Guilmant, L. Vierne, L. Boellmann, C. Franck...

Wesley wrote the piece for manuals only. Few English organs had pedals at the time, and those that did had a very limited pedal compass (however the manual compass went down further than it does nowadays to compensate for this). In this recording a corrupt British edition (from the early years of the 20C) seems to have been used. The original sounds crisper and livelier, whereas with pedals, it takes on a pronounced Victorian sound-print, most definitely out of character, however resplendent.

Herzlichen Dank, merci bien!

@Spitzprincipal2 The organs action is tubular pneumatic and dates from 1907. fully restored by the english organ builder in 1989/90. The coupling u see effects only the Swell to pedal and Great couplers . The stop action is fully electro with combination action.

Considering that Bristol Cathedral is in the form of a hall church, besides the stone screen, there is very little to hamper tonal egress. It's very likely I'll be stopping by between Cardiff and London next spring. Gorgeous place.

finally someone has a posted a recording of the final that is worth listening to. You know how to make the music exciting without letting yourself become the center of attention. The music is the focus and you as organist are just a link between the written page and the sound we all hear. Exellent, well done.

@bleem55 the reverb isn't artificially added. The problem is due to the acoustics of St. Anton. You might get the same effect, even if the micros are placed near the organ and not in the nave. I tried a lot, but the result is always the same. And I am a friend of the natural sound. All my recordings are not modified afterwards.
