It's been over 7 years since we talked. Can I give you a little update? I'm in university now, studying to be a child psychologist. Annabel's an incredible artist and still wears that hoodie you're wearing here. Rey's incredibly smart and funny. We all have the same passion for believing whats right even if its not normal. Mom still talks about you all the time, especially lately. I'm sorry I didn't go to New Orleans in 2019. Being almost 20 now, sometimes I look in the mirror with my dark curly roots like yours having grown out, with my black framed glasses on instead of contacts, in a giant black hoodie, and take a picture to send to Mom and we laugh that I look just like you. I got your voice too. Using it for theatre and helping kids. I love acting and being on stage, and Rey did stand-up comedy. Even if we didn't get to spend much time together you're still part of all of us. Sometimes I get angry. I'm sometimes still that incredibly confused 6 year old. But I'm getting older and learning more about you without the protective shield every mom has. I hope as I grow older I can have the same passion you did. Mom says I look just like you all the time, really. That I make faces you do, or gestures, that I wouldn't have known. I guess even when I'm mad for missing out on things, you're still part of it. Hopefully I'll be able to let myself talk about it. I saw you post about my "first date," and it shocked me a little because I realized you intended to be here for that. You will in spirit. I think you'd find that funny; only after moving here did I get super into spirituality. Maybe I'll ask my tarot cards if you have a message for me. I love Japan, Annabel loves weird music, Rey loves guns. And still, on this random Thursday in 2021, we still all love you.
