As a young man, over 40 years ago, I worked for Hoosier in Plymouth Indiana. I worked third shift treading tires. It was certainly true that Bob was the first guy to work in the morning, he would come in at four or five AM and mess with tires. It showed that he was obsessed with race car tires! When the hot tires were removed from the press they were placed on a machine that inflated them and let them cool. After the tires were inflated they were inspected and at times there would be small blisters on the tread and these blisters would be poked to allow them to adhere to the carcass of the tire. One morning Bob came in the plant and was inspecting a tire on the inflator. He poked a blister and the tire exploded in his face with enough force to blow the dust off the roof trusses. Thankfully Bob was not injured seriously and the next morning was back doing the same task! A big thank you to the Newton family for their contribution to racing and community!

I am aware of the rationale behind the selection of Hoosier by racers. I love Hoosier logo and you guys please paint it with accuracy and pride, especially on top fuel dragster slicks. Not only that, and I understand being rough is sometimes cool... Just about production perfection meet visual in ecstasy.

Need to put a bad around the so if broke you know it be messy with if i buy a tire it has ban around it know it ok and it be registered from the factory and people sell out traiy st trake can mark it where was sold
