I sent a message to Vessilor customer support a few weeks ago regarding the problem I am experiencing with Varilux RX I bought a few months ago, but I have not heard back from them. So, I am posting this message in the hope that you will respond. While my RX lenses give me very good general vision, I am having difficulty using them for extensive computer work. My eyes get tired easily and go blurry. The optometrist told me that the reason was that the distance between the eye position and the bottom of the lenses is too small. I would like to know if this is really the case. The way I understand is that RX is designed based on digital eye models. Since no digital models were made for my eyes, the lenses would not have been designed for my eyes. So, I am wondering if this is the reason for my problem. I would appreciate your clarification because I don't feel I got what I paid for.

Hi, I'm wondering why does it reduce blue light by at least 20% and 30%? As far as I know, we need around 40-50% blue light deduction throughout the day. I doubt if it is sufficient enough. Thank you

I suspect very few opticians do this level of checking. Most will fob off errors by telling customers, "Wear them for a few days, and you will adapt to them." Most are very reluctant to re-make glasses if they can possibly avoid it.

Good presentation and job, but did no one at Essilor notice your glasses don’t fit? They are sitting on your cheeks and the bridge is not making contact with your nose. Everytime you speak, moving the miuscles in your face, the glasses go crooked.

I have issues with the sideways, when I look from sideways even a little bit, my vision become fuzzy/blurry and it is so annoying because salesmen or technology explaining videos or website never mention about these issues at all and you thought that it is going be same vision quality will be provided all over the glass not at only on the focus. Very disappointing, not thinking use Essilor brand anymore and I am going to send an email about how they eyezen technology fails on sides. They are not promoting like that at all.

Hello Doc, can I wear reading glasses when working, then progressive after work?

After upgrading my glasses from X to XR without my knowledge, my experience with XR has been awful. The sharpness that the glasses are trying to achieve is overwhelming and feels unnatural. Objects that are shiny or glittery are ridiculously intense, as to be overwhelming. I also have experienced nausea when moving my head quickly from one object to another. Fortunately, my optical store will be returning my glasses to a regular X series like I had before. I'm counting the seconds until my order comes in.

Just the fact that they do not explain what this is point to it being a gimmick. I have Varilux and Varilux X. There is no difference other than few hundred dollars more expensive.

They are standard varifocal lenses, the same as all others with graduated strength across the lenses. They are not AI or military grade or other false misleading terms used. The lenses are fixed focus, they do not change in response to anything. If you want to see distance you look up, read close up you look down. If you look at a book, half the lenses are in focus which is correct and the top half is blurred as it is for distance. Don't lie or Advertising Standards Agency in the UK will remove your adverts and prosecute.

This makes no sense to me - why place the glasses on the person, when you are simply able to measure the glasses direct, what is the logic? Surely it has to align with the pupil when looking forward, ear height in relation to nose bridge will cause different angles, - very confused

Good Morning ! I am working in the software industry. Recently, I had 1.25 addition power lenses made for both my eyes using Verilax Liberty progressive glass. However, I did not feel comfortable working on the computer for long periods of time, so I switched to intermediate lenses, which work better for me, but without the added power. I have a question regarding Eyezen lenses. Is it possible to customize them to include only intermediate distance intermediate R- -0.75x80 axis L- -0.50x80 axis as well as our own add power of 1.25 from your Rx prescription into their lens? I am looking for a computer lens with an added power of 1.25. Please advise if this is possible
