Another classic aria magnificently sung by the female Pavarotti, Nadine Sierra. Her high notes and coloratura passages were lovely. I was hoping that when she laid on that bench, she would kick her shoes off and finish the aria in her bare (or stockinged) feet, but regrettably, this did not happen.

Opera audiences are the most stupid in the history of music. We miss so much good music in the area because Opera audiences applaud after some kind of vocal acrobatics tather than actually listening yo the aria. What an insult to Verdi and to Ms Sierra.
