Hi, Karen - I am watching this in August 2024 and am wondering if this is still working for you??? I am downsizing and I have loads of paper punches that I want to keep & organize to be able to locate what I want to use. I do not have an Ikea anywhere near me in southern Alabama. Thank you for your help and advice!!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊

Great video Karen! I went through the same process about a year ago and now keep all my stamps, dies and stamp/die sets together by category. It has made it so much easier to find everything. I used the Avery Elle sleeves which was pretty cost effective. I love Lauren’s ideas but I live in Canada and find that the supplies are often too expensive here. I use Evernote to inventory all my supplies, create notebooks for each type of supply and add tags for categories to identify where each set is stored and to describe the item. I always enjoy your content. Hope you are feeling better!

I took a shelf of that tall CD tower storage where you have the punches to the IKEA "As Is" section asked the clerk if he had extra shelves and he brought a few out in brown. He sold them to me for 10 cents. I got white contact paper and covered them. If IKEA still has a piece of furniture in stock sometimes they will have extra parts for it in the "As Is" section. If the clerk is no help come back another time until you get the worker that is always there he knows what he has.

I love making base pages with a paper pad and sketches, it is so therapeutic and stress-free. I am sorry about the passing of your fur baby, it is always hard when we have to say goodbye to them. Thanks for explaining the crystals, I had really bad vertigo a couple of years ago, and I had never known about them until my doctor explained them to me. I imagine many people are unaware that we have them in our ears. I hope your health status improves and you can get to scrappin'! Take care and thanks for the doing this video.

The title is perfect. I like the paper you chose for the background. I went to a scrapbook convention a year or two before the pandemic and did their crop. I really enjoyed it. I haven't done any since the pandemic except for a local convention where I just went and shopped. However, I lot of my favorite vendors that I wanted to take classes are no longer doing conventions. Some of them switched to online during the pandemic. When I go to my aunt's house, my mom and I will scrapbook with her in her basement. That's probably the closest I'm going to get to a crop.

I just recorded my first video for the Simple Stories hop and I did the same. I looked for photos to go with my collection (from the couple albums I'm trying to finish this summer). I think we have similar tastes, since Simple Stories is one of my favorites and especially the vintage collections. I just received my order of the new Simple Vintage Linen collection. I can't wait to use it, but it will probably have to wait until after July since I'm doing a Disney Sketchathon in July.

You do a wonderful job organizing! I had a room nearly as big that I had stocked and I'm organized but I still forgot stuff and found I wasn't using it like I could. So about 10 years ago, I went all digital. I got rid of everything in equipment and supplies, papers and embellishments. It freed up the whole room, valuable real estate, lol. Now all I need is good computer equipment and I print digital scrapbooks at Shutterfly in book form. I collect digital embellishments and papers and have it all organized on my computer hard drives (one for work which includes all my digital photos and two more for backups). So my hard drive is as organized as your room and closet. I have a good scanner for old photos so even my photos are all digital. I create my own 12x12 pages and save as a file. Then I upload to Shutterfly and store in albums. Once I get enough to do books, I create the book in Shutterfly and print it, it's so much easier to store than the old scrapbooks. I've done family genealogy books, family history books, family recipe books, scrapbooks for all my nieces, nephews and now, grandnieces and grandnephews. I've done personal journals, Bible study journals, vacation and holiday scrapbooks all in 12 x 12. I do a lot of Bible studies so I've "printed" my own books of Bible studies by doing it as scrapbook pages and then print in book form. I've done verse mapping, induction studies, topical studies, character studies, book studies, etc all on scrapbook pages and printed in book form. Printing the books are pricey but considering all the supplies, equipment, organizational supplies I think I come out cheaper doing it digitally. The computer equipment is dual usage. I use it for all my scrapping but also for all my other stuff like shopping, social media, blogging, etc. I used to be the Historian for my Daughters of the American Revolution chapter and I did annual scrapbooks. The ladies loved them. BTW, your dogs are adorable. I have a little chi and Yorkie and 4 cats who keep me company.

Loved your video. It's real life not pretend life. Sorry to hear you are still struggling with your eyes. My mother has macular degeneration. I like the idea for the book. It reminded me I used to use a harder plastic to make paper holders for my 6 X 6 paper pads.
