@elizabethwheeler8309 yes, on guitar over on the left. See www.fiffdimension.com/ascension.band for more detail. And my current band The Troubled Times has a gig in Wellington this Saturday.

It is fantastic that you have re-constituted the historical works of your ancestor. Poetry is in your blood Dave.

Wow, this is cool!! John "Totara Jack" Edwards Sr. and Mary Jones are my ancestors, too. I am of a branch of the family that went to the US in the early 20th century. I am a genealogist and have traced John's ancestors and descendants. Let's exchange info! Great video!

Thank you Shon! Nice to hear from you - I'm part of the branch that stayed in NZ. please email me at [email protected] to discuss. Dave Edwards

I think its Ame-no-Uzume (天宇受売命 or 天鈿女命) is the Japanese Goddess of merrymaking and dance. She is the one who lured the sun Goddess Amaterasu to come out of her self-imposed exile in a cave, returning sunlight to the world. She overturned a washtub and began to dance on it, to the delight of the surrounding Gods and Goddesses. Their laughter at her antics made Amaterasu curious enough to step out of her cave.

Hi do you mind sharing a more detailed plan of your route? Thanks
@fiffdimension8 жыл бұрын
Route was from Kamikochi, via Yarigatake and Yakushidake peaks, finishing at Toyama. I don't have more detail at this point five years later, but it was in the Lonely Planet guidebook.

Richard Root No there were just two of us, and we organised the trip ourselves. I speak beginner Japanese but Nat da Hatt has lived there for several years and is fairly fluent.

I hope these Haole people respect their Okinawan hosts and hospitality. Okinawan people had to endure much from foreign invasion and influence. I hope the outer islands do not change for high rises and money. many times it ruins everything.
