I saw The Who in Boston the year after this. Loudest, most on key on time most powerful band I ever heard. Without Moon later it wasn't the same.

Questionably the best ever rock band?!!! My younger sister went to the IOW festival in 1970 & I think she's still recovering!!!

What i love about this period is ...they could never seem to find a long guitar jack..... a spare guitar....a guitar stand ...or a roadie that wasnt high or even about.... music wise tho....different class...them old guys are wicked...just 1 beaten up strat was all he needed ..

Peter Townsend said when he got on stage the strings seemed flimsy so he used a .022 gauge high E string. It seems hardly possible to play such a thing.

Cette version des WHO du "Youg Man Blues" de Mose Allison, restera comme une des plus belles reprises jamais enregistrées . Les WHO magnifient cette composition en version Hard Rock.

Alan knew when and what arrangement to match the voices of the soloists. If there had been such a thing in 1987, then, alas, then Martin’s voice would have been lost. And in 1994, the voice and melody complement each other and the song has a soul.💚💚

I never noticed that Moon didn’t have a hi hat. He had 2 floor toms on each side and even depth rack toms. He was so unique in every aspect of his drumming. Good luck trying to emulate his style.
