It says a lot about this piece that I still remember it 17 years after I played it, every once in a while it pops back into my head. The middle section is so beautiful in its tenderness, that was one of the first times I remember feeling genuine emotion while playing a piece. I wanted to cry and didn't understand how music could do that to me. Thank you Mr. Longfield for the everlasting gift that is your music.

OH MY GOD. I remember this song. I played it back in middle school orchestra. There was another song around this time that we played, maybe you all can help me find it. It was about a desert I think. Sounded almost Arabic as if there were camels involved. I haven’t heard this song in years.
