Also, been meaning to ask you. Do you play on a real NES or some kind of emulator? I've been out of the video game world for quite a few years and not up on all the latest tech.

Hey great question. So, my final runs are usually on real hardware, but I do use emulators a lot to practice due to the extra tools, like save states so I can practice the same level over and over.

1. Huh, I didn't know that trick with the bee enemy, I'll have to start doing that. I hate those things! 2. You're gonna do a Megaman review and not know what the Yellow Devil is called!? 3. just some advice to not do your recording in one take. if you have to say the same line several times till you get it clear and right and then just edit out the mistakes. will make it much easier for people to listen to your reviews. I would also suggest when you can, invest in getting a better mic. it will make all the difference in the world!

I mean yeah, I suppose I could have called it yellow devil mark 2, but I also didn’t call the Kamegoro maker by its name. Thank you for the advice on the mic and editing mistakes. It’s actually sort of my schtick that I record it authentically, leaving the imperfections in, but I will be sure to clean it up in the future.

Diassapointged you didn't go for the White Toad House in 1-4. I realize the extra p-wing is likely superfluous to your play through, but I invariably always do it as my standard Mario 3 flaunt. Like, if people are watching me play, that's my go to to demonstrate that I know what the hell I'm doing.

I always played through world 2 as a kid before warping. Somewhere in world 2, don't remember at this point maybe after beating the boss, I would get the cloud. I would use the p-wing on the world 8 air ship and the cloud on world 8 fortress

Sorry bud but not a deathless run. Reason why it doesn't count as deathless is because when you died at 18:55 you still would have had control over bill until 18:58 when the victory sound plays after beating a boss. When Speedrunners of Contra beat a level they press the up button on their controller so bills weapon is pointing up and when they lose control over bill when the victory sound plays then bill will point his weapon to the right, Speedrunners do this so they can accurately input splits for each level and you died before a split would have been inputted. Your gameplay + tips: Jungle was fine, Base 1&2 you don't have to take out all the guns for certain rooms because your making yourself more vulnerable by moving around more than you need to, for example the last room of the base levels you only need to destroy the gun on the right then position yourself slightly left of the core and the other two guns can't touch you, Waterfall you can reveal the gun above you before crossing the bridge then shoot the B so it's positioned next to that gun that way you'll have more invincibility time to move up the Waterfall and also you were wasting invincibility time shooting enemies that didn't need to be destroyed so you should have just focused on moving up quickly, In Snowfield you should never stop shooting because of the amount of trolls that appear on screen and you can destroy the tanks easier if you stand right next to them and mash, for Energy Zone you can jump over the vertical firebar where the B is without dying and you can avoid the boss projectiles if you duck right in front of the boss, In Hanger for the boss you should just run, right jump twice and mash your way up to the boss core and ignore the guns below you and Alien's lair is the same thing just run up to the boss jump twice whilst mashing and it will go down easy. In general I think you were not mashing fast enough and playing a little too conservatively at times which made things harder than it should be but you are good enough to beat the game deathless in your next run. Great review! I 100% agree with you on everything you said. I love parts 1&2, but 3 just seemed a bit rushed. I don’t dislike the game personally, but it doesn’t compare to the first two👍 Nice to see you back making videos my friend!!!!

I think number 2 is my favorite. I just like the flow of the game, but 3 will always have a special place in my heart. I will have to go back and try 4-11 and see if any of them hold a candle to 2 and 3.
