Well it is a 45 mm cannon shoved into a plane. It was rather useless without the APHE belt, now it's a bit too good. Anyway, isn't the cost to spawn that thing like 800 sp with said belt? The 6.0 version of the yak is expensive when used this way and can install the same 45mm with a 20mm instead of the 12.7mm. There are vehicles which retain their usefullness no matter the Br, but you give up something when uptiered (like fighting jets in mid war props) , some however can be just effective. Some vehicles you might see at every BR are : The pumas (50 and 75 mm), P47s, Yaks (especially the 45mm ones), Do335, P51, XM800, ZSU-57-2, Btr, Fox maybe. But returning to the Yak, very few vehicles have enough roof armor to stop the APHE, a single exception i can think of is the Maus, and even then with good aim you can keep breaking it's engine. It's no suprise it's so popular, thankfully it has limited ammo, but if you have a player with good aim, who noone can knock down, you are looking at at least 15 vehicles killed. You are better off hiding than engaging that thing when not on an incline to throw off it's aim, bring the .50 truck if you have to, ambush it if possible instead of firing at it from few km away, you might just as well build a giant neon sign with an arrow pointing at you with "i'm here kill me! " written on it if you decide otherwise.

skill problem, i think think that american cas is much worse to deal with

i spend most of my time doing dailies and i get aa ones. i spend most time in the wirble and yes the 9k gets me but i get more of them :)

Cas is a overall issue, and the only "heavy" spaa that war thunder has is the skink, with a bad traverse and guns that do no damage, Yak-9k was a mistake.

Cas is a promblem... Meanehile all "CAS gurus" have no more than 3KB in planes. How rare it is to actually see someone doing CAS and being annoying, not just dropping 1 bomb and dying

CAS is fine. They raised the costs of CAS 2 years ago.

The main issue is that you see too much EARLY cas while not enough early SPAA (huge thanks to that god forsaken sp cost changes) and the fact that the playerbase just straight up sucks with AA in spite of all those busted mid tier AA they've added (Bosvark, Tpk 6.41 and such)

The only times i tevenge CAS is by accidentally killing the one that killed me, which is the common one. Or you are in an advantageous or restricting position and need to be removed, very much not the common one. Sometimes it's just to be a dick for the laughs.

I've seen some dumb CAS players, but I think this one may have been legitimately disabled. There is no other explanation I can find for how spectacularly stupid he was here.

I've done that at the end of a match, our team pretty much sent the entire enemy team back to the lobby. I was sitting on a cap in a Pz IV H and the last guy in a HS 129 B3 came in way too low, and I put a 75 mm APHE round straight through his canopy. Barely got the gun up in time

Vengeance is sweet. I had a lot of interesting games while playing the EBR lately (had to play light tanks for a challenge and to unlock something for a future vid'), it's always fun to run around and sow chaos behind enemy lines 😏.

Never thought I'd die like this ☹. Btw, 7.7 Germany is pretty good for farming the current event. Maus for downtiers and Wiesel/Marder for uptiers. The M48A2 C is also a viable option if you don't have Mr Maus.

German tanks are the best in terms of guns its literally most cases 1 shot to kill. the only thing i hate about playing in germany is that you always get bombed by CAS and most tanks are bulky and useless for city skirmishes anything above the pz4 is destined to die once it enters a small road with buildings on either side and the slow turret turn rates don't help either.
