The Hiyodori don't sing; -rather, they SCREAM! -At least in my neck o' the Niigata woods. And, thank you for posting. The background music, along with the bird-vocalizations, is abs. delightful!

Wow, blast from the past. I used to hear what I used to call “the squeaky gate on the wind” near the rice paddy fields on route to my job. One day on a walk along that route, I ran into one of these guys hanging out with a few hens who were grazing for bugs in the empty field.
