Great setup! A lot of effort and thought has gone into this! So many setups are polished and pristine (which is great!), but yours - whilst neat - clearly prioritises function. I have a mad respect for that! Looks great! Must be a pleasure to ride and stream from that setup.

Ok - you ride & level up, ride & level up, ride & level up, then slack off - like maybe you’re evaluating another platform or have discovered line dancing, whatever. Do you get leveled _down?_
@360velo Жыл бұрын
You keep the level you unlocked/achieved even if you don't use Zwift for a very long time. I'm just not sure what happens if you cancel your subscription.

@chronicdeist this video was made before Zwift changed their Start Screen, so it's outdated. I need to take this one down and make a new one.

I like the idea of turning off ERG mode, as it is a better model for riding in the real outdoors. I guess I could just take a Zwift workout (e.g. SST-Med) and do it with Erg mode turned off? For me, where it gets more difficult is choosing the terrain for performing the workout. The route you chose (Fuego Flats) is what it says - pretty ideal for many sorts of training. Supposing I had chosen to use Titan's Grove (which would be a good model for where I live). How do I go about fitting my workout into that sort of terrain? Or, maybe that's the point - I just have to learn to accomodate it? I still like the idea though, and I will try to start using non-Erg workouts from now on (I may just be a bit cautious, initially, when choosing routes for them). What you say meshes with what I've heard elsewhere (e.g. Tacoma Cyclist, several of my fellow Zwift/Strava athletes). As "Tendons TV" said, looking at your riding, I guess your Power/Weight is pretty high! Many thanks for a thought provoking video.🙂
@360velo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! If you turn ERG off but are still using a workout you uploaded into Zwift/workout mode, the roads will all be "flat" regardless of the route you chose. When I do workouts, however, I do not program intervals into Zwift or any other software. I go "old school" and just follow the intervals by timing them myself. That way I also train how to manage the terrain, as you pointed out.
@petercallow3532 жыл бұрын
@@360velo Okay, I'll give that a go; thanks for the tip. Interesting that non-ERG workouts also flatten out the terrain - I hadn't realised that!

Thank u for this video as it was very helpful. My question is : I have my riding plans already for week and it’s sync to my Garmin too which I connected to my Zwift account too. I did all the steps but I could t find my training peaks plans for next week Do I have to uploaded each time I gonna ride I. Zwift Thank you
@360velo3 жыл бұрын
If you have Zwift and TrainingPeaks connected, it uploads automatically. However, only the workouts for that day will appear in Zwift - in other words, the workout needs to be on the same day on your TrainingPeaks calendar for you to see it in Zwift.

Just getting into TrainingPeaks and this overview helped me with the basic understanding of the program. Great work! Question regarding elevation on your first chart. While training indoors how does TP interpret elevation when your trainer is stationary? Based on my indoor sessions that elevation field is at a “zero” value.
@360velo3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe that is the case, unless you are riding virtual roads (e.g., Zwift, Rouvy, etc), in which case the file will reflect the elevation of the virtual course.

Super helpful! I am already at Level 32 in Zwift and have never figured out how to get the Tron bike. I will start the challenge on my next ride.
@awakenedbahamut25743 жыл бұрын
Cadence is a bit low, the most effective sprint is at over 110 rpm. Try to increase that. 15w/kg isn't that much but keep working. I can hold 15 w/kg for over 20 seconds and I'm 14. I think you are more of a climber who does long efforts instead of sprints. My max power is high at 1224 watts (19.6 w/kg) but my ftp is only 270 watts (4.3 w/kg) so I'm a puncheur and sprinter.

Hi Ken- were you doing a "free" ride or a workout?
@kenmorgan94703 жыл бұрын
@@360velo Was just a 20 minute free ride. Now just did a training run and it was a clean screen (except for the annoying 'close the gap'). So those 'tips' will always be on the free rides?

Have you compared your ftp results from a ramp test and 20-minute test before? I just completed my ramp test, video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKfTaJ-kirNsjrs The results seem fine but I am also wondering about how it would compare to a 20-minute test result. I don't think that I could hold the 105% of my ramp test result for 20-minutes. Maybe I should try it just to see.
@360velo3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the type of rider, the FTP test might be more suitable than the ramp test and vice-versa. For example, explosive riders (like me) are better off with a ramp test because I have more capacity above threshold and always get in trouble when asked to hold a sustained effort for 20 min. So for me, a 20 min classic FTP test is not a good representation of my threshold and abilities. On the other hand, a Time Trialist for example is probably better off doing the 20 min test.
