If you put the motor in the front the back end will get squirrelly in the wind, you will need a rudder to keep it stable.

I mounted my fish finder display on the battery box lid like you described. It works OK but I'll need to reposition the box to put it where I'm normally looking. I know I'll get better trim by having the battery and motor at opposite ends.

Thanks for your in-depth video- it's the little things that can get you with a stove like this. I built mine from a Chinese ammo can.

Nice stove!!! I have the same ammo can and have been looking at converting it into a wood burning stove. I, like you, have watched a lot of videos. I really like how you did yours. I would like to see a little more detail to your build, especially the water take. After you got it off you didn't show the back of the can to see how that was made to attach to the screws on the can. Looked on your channel to see if you had any construction videos or any videos after this pertaining to the stove. Again, hope you will do another video to explain how to make the water tank. Again NICE stove!!!

Great Job Sir, well thought out... I'd Like to see You make a Follow Up Video of You Burning it, Maybe at Campsite, doing Some Cooking. Breakfast or "one Skillet Dinner",or even Spaghetti. I am Currently in the middle of My 20mm Ammo Can Woodstove.I Turned it Upside Down ,( Just to be different , face the challenges.I have a full length ash tray connected inside the Lid, for an easy cleanout.I installed a Baffle Plate 2" down from the flue, coverig about 2/3 rds. of the Length, for a hotter Flat Cooking Surface. I will be using the "swing out Accessory arms" over the "Hibachi",charcoal Set-up, with the Lid Removed, and drilled rod holes in the Lid Area to hold the Stainless Cooking Grate. Also incorporating 4- Skewers, Lengthwise across the Coals, for Shishkabobs. The arms will dry damp clothing also. The Legs will be 30 degree marine mounts, with 3/4" copper tubing, with rubber caps on the bottom end.I am Searching for a Tin Decanter to hang Like Yours, with a spigot. My fire door is about 6 1/2 x 6 5/8" , with 2 one inch dia .vent holes ( rotating ) Additionally, I drilled, filed a. " slide vent in the 5 slots in the snap handle.I have not even got close to my first burn yet , but I am wondering if some holes drilled across the back, just below the Baffle Plate( adding a Slide Vent ) would create a hotter Fire ( fresh air pulled in to mix... as an "Afterburner").This will be determined Later, Little by Little. I am still busy aquiring " stove Gasket Tape and High Temp Cement , Mounts , etc. I have a 3" hole cut , and a 4" to 3" reducer , 2- sections of single wall duct pipe, and a Rain Cap....I will install a 3" flue damper , and spark arrestor screen. I believe this will be a very efficient camp ( Bugout ) Stove / Heater /B.B.Q. , and I think I will be very entertained with it, That is why I am using expensive Stainless Steel Hardware ,I have the thick (diamond) grate for the firewood in place above the ash tray , and another row of 3/4" angle Iron about 5" from the open 'hibachi" cooking grate,(for the Charcoal , or Mesquite. I am taking my time , step by step to do it Right...the first time. Thanks for the Video , I enjoyed it. I'd bet you know some great home cookin Recipes that could be shared also... God Bless You and Yours , Bill in L. A. California, U.S.A.

Looks like a great stove. As far as the size of the baffle, the most important consideration is that the opening of the channel it creates shouldn't be smaller in square inches than the square inches of the diameter of the flue pipe. Otherwise the baffle will cause more of a constriction of air flow than the flue pipe. Hope this makes sense. As an example, if the flue pipe is 3 inches in diameter, it has an opening area of about 7 square inches (Pi times the radius squared). So your baffle opening into the fire box needs to be at least that size. Let's say that the opening of your baffle is 5 inches by 2 inches then your baffle opening is 10 square inches and this is good since it is bigger that the 7 square inches of the flue pipe.
