Thanks PaPal! This was very helpful. Have you or anyone else dealt with a situation when MATCONT identifies found a transcritical bifurcation point but labeled it as Hopf - Neutral Saddle (s.label = 'H ' s.msg = 'Neutral Saddle Equilibrium') instead of a Branch Point (s.label='BP') as in your example?

Hello Saurabh. You can check my video on Saddle Node Bifurcation(1-D). You don't have to install matcont. 1. Just download the latest version of Matcont. 2. Unzip. 3. From Matlab, set the current directory to the unzipped folder (containing matcont) 4. In the command window of Matlab type "matcont" 5. Done !!

i am not able open the matcont file from sourceforge net.Any suggestions?

1st you can download the file..next if it's zip file then unzip. next put the whole file in any drive you want(and you don't have to do anything with the file). Next just go to matlab and set the path to that folder. Type matcont in the command window. Done. Hope that helps. If not please feel free to message .
