The Story I Love About the band was when they wanted to parody David Bowies Space Oddity, the record label said No, then the next time they were on Top of the Pops, David was there as well, they told him about it, and he said Brilliant!, I want to hear that, Sod the Label it’s my bloody music not theirs! 😂 - Julie

They were always there when I was a teenager, never being cool, but consistently having hits. They got pigeonholed as doing 'novelty records', but what people didn't acknowledge at the time, or since, is that to do what they did you also have to be really good professional musicians. A bit like the way people get dismissed as session musicians, but all the great albums rely on people like that. Gawd bless 'em, is what I say.

Today's game is count all the 'underrated' comments
@RayMcClureАй бұрын
The number of underrated comments reflect how underrated musically the Barron Knights were. During the 60's they were viewed more as a novelty group than appreciated for their musical talent and skill.

@@RayMcClure someone who declares any artist 'underrated' can only speak for themselves. What right has anyone to declare on artist 'underrated' on behalf of the populous?

Wish they told you which wines specifically they were drinking on this program. Were they affordable or high end wines?
@RayMcClure3 ай бұрын
@@LukeSkywalker-io2bh The wines enjoyed on this video were all Fortant de France wines; Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and they are all affordable. We enjoy watching the video with any brand of the 4 varieties, because the characteristics are fairly consistent across brands. Sit back, open the appropriate bottle, pour a glass and enjoy both the wine and the video.

@RayMcClure9 ай бұрын
Floyd Uncorked was a 6 part TV series, this I think was a one off promotional video which was done at the same time. To me this gives a simple, entertaining, introduction to wine tasting which we enjoyed and I hope others do as well.

I had a TV show from the 1980s on VHS and it hat had a 'proper' musical number in it too. For those who don't know, their main thing was spoofs & mick takes of popular bands.
