Probably to end the movie showing that devilish charm as he knows hes going to die malicioulsy as he lived his life. Judging by the rope it could go a few different ways. First is assumption of hanging him to death. The other is means of torture while having him tied up with the rope. Or a last thought which was using the rope as a torture device. (If youve ever seen that casino royale james bond movie then youll know what im talking about)
