Is bookbinding glue like Elmer's glue?

I bought one recently, and had to return it after only two weeks of gentle use, as the gilding started flaking off in patches. Another reviewer of this Bible said that the book block separated after only six months. I decided to look elsewhere for a nice Bible.

There is no way to understand the Bible in 30 days. Don’t fool yourself.

This is a good book if you’re able to glean the grain from the chaff. I think for a certain person who can discern what is the grain and what is chaff could benefit from this book.

What if I lost the front and back cover? Binding is still glued on.

The Premium is on sale at Christianbooks for $60!!! I bought one a while back and seeing this price I bought another today. The Grace & Truth NIV Bible is my favorite bible! This Bible is beautiful and filled with fantastic commentary. Al Mohler jr. did a wonderful job. I actually found the imitation leather version for $9.99 so I picked up 4 and 2 Large print Hardcover versions for $14.99. On the grounds that Dr. Mohler is without a doubt worthy of giving to a person that needs the Word.

My husband has this new Niv bible and loves it. Our youngest daughter moved back home after living in Arizona doesn't have a bible saw her dad's and liked it so want to get her one

Thanks for a great review of this Bible. I just ordered this exact Bible after watching your review. I am in agreement with your assessments on the glossy maps, preferences on darker red print. I do wish the Bible came with book indexes. I had given my Holman thinline NKJV to a pastor friend of mine because he said he liked it so much. He preaches out of it and so I needed to replace it. As always, you give great reviews. Next. I will need to have my favorite study Bible recovered. The Zondervan Full Life Study Bible that I purchased in 1993. Maybe you can recommend a good place to get this done. I'm in South Alabama a hour from pensacola FL and a hour from Mobile Alabama.

I was hoping this would have a larger font than the concise study bible, but seems it's pretty small also. It does have some color headings, maybe it's dual color or something and a nicer font.

Does contact cement work better for the end sheets in terms of flexibility versus the pva book binding glue? I’ve noticed the part of the liner that attaches to the text block becomes less flexible when using the pva glue.

Where do you find them?

I bought this bible off Amazon. Its the most beautiful bible ive ever seen. The ribbons came in frayed though. Im taking it to a rebinder tomorrow to get the ribbons replaced.
