Dale, What do you say about your HiLine Home after 4 years? I found them online and am considering it, but not so much not after seeing this. I expect there are lots of videos with horror stories. I'll check later. Hope it all worked out well for you. Thanks!

I am a 4th generation contractor that got out of the business. I wanted quick built structure that would not break the bank so we went with HIline. (very bad decision) I had them build a house about 7 years ago. They pulled the same stuff. That bad shower door design was noted by us way back then. They fought, complained and said it was "on the plans" and it was our fault. We asked them to get in and take a shower.....of course they could not fit...... Then we had to show/tell them how to fix it (install a slider instead of a swinging door) then they wanted to charge us for a change order and an upgrade fee! They are over priced, thieves. Total Thieves. Now we have had the house for almost 7 years and you can really see the bad job they have done. too many items to list!!! They closed down or sold to "lexar" but I am not sure if this is just the same bait and switch or not. They also put the post at the bottom of the stairs so close o the bathroom that there is not way in hell you can ever get any furniture up the stairs. They also were extremely reluctant to move it back. Crazy, non common sense construction should be their motto. Sorry you got caught by the same thieves.

I have had the misfortune to hire Hiline Homes out of Salem , Or. I have been in construction for 40 years and have never experienced such BS attitude from the owners and general manager. One of the owners even referred to my "piddly ass job "was not worth their time to even do. I would suggest that you avoid them at all cost. They stopped my job the day after receiving a check for almost 30K and refused to finish the job before being paid in full while they still had gutters, sheetrock and attic insulation to complete. They delayed my project for 2.5 weeks, then after walk through they took 3+weeks to address an electrical problem created by them or a sub contractor and tried to make it my fault . They accept no responsibility for any work they do , the owners/manager are the worst in the industry, In my humble opinion.

@LexarHomesBurlington, you're the "expert" here. What you're saying here is, if the first time home builder indicates they would like a room a certain way, despite the " should be" obvious (to the head General Contractor) design / engineering issue - it's the home builders fault for not realizing there is a problem. Terrific! A contractor who blames the new home owner for design issues.
@riflebear17115 жыл бұрын
You're replying to lexar. Did that make a statement that you are responding to? I am considering building with lexar.... any advice will help.

Cheap house cheap build. You need to stay on top of them to make sure the finished are done with quality assurance. There is an issue now with the roof, based on a downspout running onto the roof into another gutter. The roof has OSB and the water is leaking through causing it to swell.

The Spare does no good when the volume fails. I am currently in the same position. I have a 5 Disk Raid with one Disk Failure fault. Volume Crashed. Synology cannot restore the crashed Volume. The Drives are in good condition. The Volume crashed after a power failure.
@DaleHylton11 жыл бұрын
In this instance it was running raid 5, but a two of the drives crashed breaking the raid 5 array before could be repaired by replacing the 4th drive and rebuilding the array.
@e46tracktool11 жыл бұрын
wouldn't be better use raid 5 with spare?? so you would just remove the fault disk and insert the new one... "in my opinion" there is no point use raid if you cannot hotswap disks..

All seems to be ok.
@PowPowBroBro12 жыл бұрын
HONESTLY, Thats not to bad for a Hiline Home, there should have been metal square back flashing behind every joint in the siding, ultimately eliminating any need for the vertical joint caulking....If these are the only problems your having, it seems your a luckier one.

I am not sure which raid you are running. I'd ask support first. Does you have the network recycle bin turned on? If so then you can access the Recycle folder located in the folder of the files you deleted. I don't think using Runtime will recover the deleted files. There are a few programs out the to recover delete files. Not sure of the names, but I think that is the route you have to go. You can try pcrecovery or panda recovery.
