Thanks for this kind of video in preservation of gamefowl.. though most gamebirds today ain't pure anymore but we're trying to get the best & purest bloodline we can get but I think it's impossible nowadays.

Bloody great film Debbie West. Nice and simple. No over the top nonsense. Not enough films of the old timers for me. Sad that the old boy passed on but great that you got him on film not long before he went. RIP

First witnessed "COCKFIGHTING" in my parents ancestral villages of Barkur and Mabukala in State of Karnataka in India. Later over the decades having visited 81 country's across the Globe could apply for a "PhD" course in the sport of Cockfighting having first hand seen the legalized version of the sport in Manila in the Philippines and in Vang Vieng in Laos.Have seen numerous other illegal cockfights in Bali in Indonesia and in India. This is a excellent documentary and vividly takes the viewer into the thick of cock fighting action in the Philippines. Reminds me on my own night out in a Cockfighting coliseum in Manila in 1995. Ahoy ! Read my blog on cockfighting :-cockfightinglegalandillegal.blogspot.com/

Cockfighting isn't legal in Australia - Rob and his friends only bred chooks for showing, they were never fought.
@lillanorth6 жыл бұрын
what a documentary. I hope you have the information on breeding written down somewhere so it could be used as a guide to a younger generation.

Thanks, Lilly. Winfred's son is continuing with his chooks, and he and Rob both tried to share their knowledge with others. They also both contributed to a book and Winfred also wrote a book.

Nice vid. I image the old guy knows a lot about rural life in his native country. Here in the States we hear of the “legality” of owning games in Australia. It’d be interesting to speak with him.
