Is this man handicapped? I don’t understand. This man is just flailing around drifting down a river with a piece of plastic.

Water the colour of tea, big water waves you can surf all day, some sendy waterfalls, rapids that look like the rinse cycle of a giant washing machine... I think I'm going to have to visit Maine before I die. When are the best flows, and how hard is it for an outsider to find people to paddle with? Great video! Liked and subscribed.

+Christopher Doubt I just checked the schedule, it'll be the 26 of June this year. No sign up, it's just a word of mouth unsanctioned backwoods thing. See ya there! Most folks gather at the local bar in The Forks called The Marshall the night before. People typically end up at the falls around 10am the next day

@MaineRiverLife
@MaineRiverLife 9 жыл бұрын
kayakinrob That's the "Madison Wave" It's in Madison, ME. Look for 17,000 CFS on the Kennebec at Madison USGS gage. 17,000 is the minimum for eddy access, goes as low as 15k however. Get's really good between 19k-22k. Starts to wash above 24k, look for "Mitochondria" to come in further down river at flows higher than when Madison is good.
