If I don't have a wood ring on hand what else would you suggest I use? Or could I make a ring out of macrame cord somehow?

Yes you can make a loop (will be less sturdy) with a macrame cord. Perhaps a single heads knot (like I show in the latest Jewellery Hanger video) would work nicely. Alternatively if you have an aluminum wire, you could wrap the macrame cord around it. I hope this helped. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you, Laura xx
