My all-time favourite 100m athlete. That world record he broke was one of the most beautiful races to witness. It's even better to watch in slow motion, from the side profile, to see how he runs down the field.

I’m a Cook Islander and 2 of my sons are boxers and I said the same thing to them. I’m getting older and I need you to learn how to fight to defend your mother and sisters and I said when you go to them you don’t talk. Any man who hits a Woman is a coward and I have never hit my wife of 24 years. My last born son is 11 years old and he is a Tall Boy at 1.7 meters and he will be 12 next year. I told him he has to learn how to fight and he said he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. 6 kids and my last has the best heart but he will still have to learn how to fight for his family like I did.

With almost 900K followers, you could benefit from a life choreographer such as the ppl who make skating montages. For someone in the top 5 most American Americans (i.e. this person could never come from anywhere else) now is the best time to choose musicians who also could be never be anything but American. For example skating to "America will not fall, America will stand tall" would reflect support of your fellow true Americans at the most crucial time in the last decade. You should also try to go full screen as with On Ice Perspectives.

Johnny is a very special person! I love listening to him, love his laugh. His skating is/was magnificent. The artistry and the athleticism. I could sit and listen to him or watch his performances all day. He has this natural ability to make people feel as if, in that moment, they're the most important person in the world to him. He makes you feel like you're an old friend and that's simply beautiful. I'm curious about the tattoo on the inside of his wrist though. I believe it's Russian but don't know what it means. Thank you for this interview! I'll watch the entire thing as I can.

After watching the slalom in Levi, I remembered that she showed a really fun attitude in Swiss TV interviews. So i was like: bet a podcast with her is a fun listen... ....and i was totally right! Great job with the podcast, definitely need to check out other interviews you've done.

2 hours of Johnny is heaven!! I ADORE HIM. I've been a huge fan of his since seeing his reality show in 2010. It's because of him (and Sasha Cohen before him) that I transitioned from a casual fan of figure skating to an obsessive one who's been watching all the major competitions (Grand Prix, etc.) the last 13 years. He is smart, witty and hilarious. And ridiculously easy on the eyes. I could listen to him talk for hours. Thank you or this fantastic interview! It was so fun to hear him talk about things I actually hadn't heard before.

State television in Russia showed rehearsal footage and edited out the Olympic Ring malfunction. The rings also failed to explode in pyrotechnics as well! Vancouver's cauldron malfunction was also part of a sketch during that closing ceremony when a mime "fixed" the fourth arm and invited Le May Doan, who was supposed to light the cauldron to finally get the chance to light the missing arm to start the closing ceremony!

I watched the Sydney opening ceremony live on NBC as an 8-year-old. It’s not my first Olympic memory but it IS my first memory of an opening ceremony and very likely was the spark that led me to be the Olympic-obsessed lunatic that I am today. Really loved this interview and would absolutely tune in for more from ceremony planners if you ever get to chat with any others. Next year I’ll be sitting on the river Seine watching my very first in-person ceremony in a seat that was, let’s be honest, far too expensive. Nevertheless I’m absolutely stoked!

Interesting, and great that Moscow finally gets the credit for starting the modern Opening Ceremony trend of grand theatrical Ceremonies- it predated LA and is usually glossed over. Was lucky to be at the Sydney Opening and what struck me was how seamless the whole show was, the whole five hours appeared effortless.
