Thank you so much for this, my favorite cozy wool slippers have a hole near my big toe, and I think I can fix it now!

There was a book we read in elementary school and in it the girl’s grandmother would knit her fallen hair into her projects so she’d always be with those she’d gift the items to 💕

I will never buy something made with “faux leather” (plastic) again! They always do this and I’m not handy enough to realize how you could do a fix. Maybe I can try it in the future.

Crafting, cooking, and music are beautiful ways to honor the life of a loved one and connect with their experience even when we couldn't meet them. Thank you for sharing your work and creative passion with us ❤

From the second you showed the original WIP I knew EXACTLY what kind of yarn that was lol. Those yarns are IMPOSSIBLE to frog if you mess up or simply want to reuse. This is honestly the best thing you could have done with it. If you had tried to frog the project, the yarn would catch on itself and knot like crazy 😬 But now it can actually be used! 💖

😮 Like others, I was like, "OH No"! But wow, on this process and the patience it must take! Looks fun, though, and I inspire to try this someday!

Very understandable 😌 I find handcraft in general fascinating! Though I should research original danish hand crafts. I'm studying to become a carpenter which have great history in Denmark

If I was to attempt to knit a sweater like the Dale of Norway ones, would that be possible as a newbie? I’m pretty sure my family even has some patterns.

I groom cats! You should try the safari cat comb(or a similar comb with the staggered teeth, sometimes called a dematting/detangling comb). I swear that they get out more hair than any other comb or slicker brush! ❤️🐈⬛

I'm not sure... I spent about 4 solid days sun up to sun down (and beyond) working on a fimo/sculpey clay mushroom that I sculpted over a jar (so it would have "windows" you could light up with a battery candle). But I've also spent weeks on different paintings... up to a month of barely eating, waking up and working to the wee hours, and just not counting the time. Time fades away from me when I get focused on a project. I have adhd, so apparently that called 'time blindness' and 'hyperfocus' but I just call it life. I still have a crochet blanket that I work on now and then, it's been probably 8 years since I started it. It's boring, so I can't work on it too much for too long. Start to finish the longer I think I've worked on a project tho might be 3 months - i sculpted a simple dragon so I could put a light in a specific place, with a specific pose, and tried it in watercolor, then watercolor on clay board, then finally acrylics, which became the final painting.

This is perfect. My son's ugg boots have a hole in them and it didn't occur to me to attach a patch by needle felting to the wool on the inside. Thank you!
