Those energy balls are just incredible. They are definitely one of the reasons to stop at each of the rest stops on each of the courses. I'll also say that I have been to Bandon maybe five or six times and have, at one time or another, walked away thinking a different course has been my favorite. Old Mac was the first to get that nod. Then it was Bandon. Pacific took its turn after I'd played it a few times. Currently, my favorite has gotten stuck on Trails - it just has everything. I think it's also the course that is easiest to remember all the holes, meaning nearly every one is unique. And I think it and Sheep Ranch share my favorite for opening hole. And Bandon and Trails seem to hold the most appeal for me on their closing holes. Probably nodding toward Bandon - that par 5 is just a fabulous finish into the clubhouse.

I love this place. I have yet to play trails, but it is next. There is a new course sheep ranch and a new par 3 course.
