The most under-rated album ever. Yes ? Every track a classic in it's own right Ax

I've listened to other versions but this one seems to capture the dreamlike quality with the words really connecting to the soul.

Gorgeous! I also frequently turn my poems into songs, and it is magical when the music just bursts forth as if it was meant to be, thank you for sharing this.

Lol. I guess I appreciate the sentiment but please, stop; W B Yeats does not need musicians to ‘enhance’ him. There’s a reason I Want to Hold Your Hand should not be read as a poem.

Lyrics Scott-Yeats I went out to the hazel wood Because a fire was in my head And cut and peeled a hazel wand And hooked a berry to a thread. And when white moths were on the wing And moth-like stars were flickering out I dropped the berry in a stream And caught a little silver trout. When I had laid it on the ground I went to blow the fire a-flame But something rustled on the floor And some one called me by my name. It had become a glimmering girl With apple blossom in her hair Who called me by my name and ran And faded through the brightening air. Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands I will find out where she has gone And kiss her lips and take her hands. And walk among long dappled grass And pluck till time and times are done The silver apples of the moon The golden apples of the sun The silver apples of the moon The golden apples of the sun. Lovely piece from The Waterboy's best album since Room to Roam... I love the passeist edge of some songs, the rich and varied orchestrations, which remind me of the band's earlier days... And Scott has penned such strong melodies throughout the album.

William Butler Yeats' poetry and songs are strong and evocative and very strong. This is a greatest interpretation of his imaginarium by Micky Scott. It's Melody & Eros & Lynx Africa at its finest...
