Cherry Blossoms are really a sight to see, worth a trip indeed. About my favorite night market, I have to choose Ningxia Night Market. Everything I want to eat is there (but it has tendency to get really crowded on weekends, I advice to come early 530pm-ish and visit on weekdays instead)

Thanks for sharing your awesome adventure. I plan to follow your route, Keelung, Shifen, and Jiufen. What transportation did you take back to Taipei from Jiufen?
@xoorange
@xoorange 4 ай бұрын
Hi! Since it's nighttime when we departed Juifen (and everyone is in queue for the Ruifang Station Bus or the bus routed to Taipei), luckily the bus to Keelung arrived. So we took the bus to Keelung then rode a TRA from Keelung to Taipei. Seems like a round trip but it was an experience (and the fares are affordable). By the way, the Keelung bus also dropped some passengers to Ruifang Station but most people seems not to know about it.

Hi! Dont worry about dining alone, I see a lot of people dining alone and enjoying their hotpot (not just hotpot but most of the restaurants in Taiwan). The hotpot place I went to specifically has personal hotpot and the portion are of for solo diners (set meal hotpot). Hope you enjoy your Taiwan trip! 🥰 There are also times that I dine alone during this trip (Taipei is an introvert friendly place)

Hi.. do u know if we can use easycard to board the bus to SML or we need to purchase the ticket at the kiosk?
@xoorange
@xoorange 5 ай бұрын
Hi, my apologies I really cannot recall if the bus can accept easycard payment. When we purchased our ticket from the kiosk, I just remember they gave us the ticket that looks like a voucher which need to give to the bus attendant before boarding the bus. We got the combo ticket which includes one way Taichung to SML and the roundtrip boat ride in Sun Moon Lake.

Thank you, really appreciate it. Yes that bag store is just a few walk away from the steamed cake. Here's their location in google maps: maps.app.goo.gl/kZ9Su3URQzDz3kck6?g_st=ic . The place is easy to spot too as everyone is looking, holding, hoarding and buying those bags. ♡

@xoorange 6 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! ❤️ Yes, definitely you can walk from Taipei Main Station to Dihua Street. I've done it couple of times before, just make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The "Y" exits as I believe leads to Beimen Station (got lost there just recently, from Airport Line). It's really nice to explore the underground malls as there as so much to see. Also tried that route as well last year when we are planning to go to Ning Xia Night Market by foot. Just make sure to follow the sign for Beimen Station as it will be nearest one going to Dihua Street. Enjoy your Taipei trip! Also forgot to mention, the underground malls have comfortable temperature, they turn on the airconditioning when it's hot outside and it's a little warm too when it's cold outside.

@xoorange 6 ай бұрын
Yes, google map is very reliable for locating places even transport route but bus time might be a little different, dont worry majority ofthe bus stops in taipei has screen to monitor estimated arrival time of certain bus but overall it is very accurate and easy to follow with using google maps. About SIM cards, I always buy local SIM before leaving the airport (and they are quite affordable). I've tried Chunghwa and Far East Tone, and never encountered any issues. They also have eSIMs available. The earliest telecom counter opens at 430AM and I believe they closes at midnight. For most of my visit, I also use Klook for purchasing SIM cards but the last time I visited a week ago, I just bought directly from the telecom counter in the airport without any Klook voucher.

Hi Orange! Thank you for another beautiful and calming Taiwan vlog! I keep rewatching even your old ones as I build my itinerary. 💓 Would you mind sharing how to get to Dihua if via mrt? I’m planning to visit soon. Thank you! 🌸🎀
@xoorange
@xoorange 6 ай бұрын
Hello - Thank you so much! There are actually two MRT stations sandwiching Dihua Street but requires a bit of walking. The first one is Daqiatou MRT station (yellow lane) and this will bring you nearer to the back alley or the quiet part of Dihua Street, there are lots of cafes, teahouses and restaurants from this part. The second one, which i believe is the popular one, is the MRT Beimen Station (Green Line), this will lead you nearer to YongLe Market and the Visitor Center which is super busy especially during Chinese New Year festivities. Hope this help and enjoy your trip to Taipei. Let me know if you have other questions, I will be more than happy to share what I can. 🩷

Hi! Cherry blossom season starts early in Taiwan compared to Japan and Korea because of weather. There are still Cherry Blossoms or Plum Blossoms but not as many and might be on higher altitude areas like mountains and national parks. Best time for cherry blossoms in Taiwan is February. Hope that helps and enjoy your Taiwan trip!

There is a kiosk before exit the Taichung HSR and you can buy your bus ticket to Sun Moon Lake. Hi, this is actually my second trip to Kaohsiung and we skipped most of touristry spot. We mainly went to Taiwan to eat and do cafe hopping. For reference this is how our Kaohsiung trip went: Day 1: Luihe Night Market and Dome of Light in Formosa Blvd Station (we took the afternoon flight to Taipei) Day 2: Xing Long Ju for breakfast, Pier 2 Art Center, visited cafes I wanted to visit, went to Sanduo Shopping Center to do a little of shopping, Love River cruise, Ruifeng Night Market Day 3: went to Tainan Day 4: Beef Noodles at Gang Yuan, went to Neiwei Arts Center for coffee and Cijin Island for sunset There are lots to see in Kaohshiung like Lotus Pond, Fo Guang Shan, explore more of Cijin Island and visit museums/ art center (which we pass to do as I already checked them off from my list when I went there back in 2019). Hope that helps and enjoy your trip to Kaohsiung!
