I'm a bit confused, so you didn't show that you added clear jel in the video, but it's in your recipe below. So, you do add clear jel, but the video says no pectin? Is clear jel not pectin? Ok, I googled it, so clear jel is just a thickener for jams and jellies, or pie filling is what I'm reading.

Just curious, if you are vegan for ethical reasons why not eat the eggs from the chickens you raise since you know they have a good life and are just doing their natural thing. But, may be vegan for just diet reasons and then it doesn’t matter either way.

Thank you for asking so kindly. We’re for ethical reasons and one of us is allergic to eggs anyway. Lots of our chickens are rescued from slaughter houses so they in general lay fever eggs.

Shared from MIGardener: "1. Potassium in banana form is not water soluble. In fact potassium in its elemental form will erupt in water because it is so volatile. Potassium in plant available form is known as potash and the best way to release that potassium would be to burn the peels over a flame in a tin can rather than make a cup of jail wine. 2. Potassium is only available to be absorbed by plants once the banana has been fully decomposed. This will take roughly 5 weeks on the short end and 2 years on the long end. 3. Banana peels broken down in water will create alcohol from yeast breaking down sugars in the banana, which when poured on plants will kill plant tissue, soil life, and can burn leaves if concentration is high enough. ..."
@ZeroWasteFamily8 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing. Using banana banana peels as fertilizer is a very common practice among gardeners and we have been doing it for years and never had killed a plant with it as you can see in many of our videos. Since you only soak the peels for short time it will not turn into alcohol.
