Aye, just rebuilt mine, new rod bearings. New crank, new rods. New pistons and rings. New valves and adjustment.etc. The d17a1 and a2 just makes that noise around 2-3k, hate it buts it's the honest truth, put 10w-30 in, makes it much more quite

The issue never came to a head and the car ran past 205k miles and then I sold it. Saw it around town a few times about a year later but haven't seen it in a long time. Main consensus is a rod bearing but not sure

I have an Accord that makes that same noise between 1500 and 2000 rpm. I had another Accord and Civic that made the noise also. The 2 Accords are both 94’s and are still on the road. I daily it, 700 miles a week, 250,000 miles and still going. Just change the oil on time and your good to go.

You found an awnser? I have the same noise too. Rod bearings and piston rings replaced, new valve seats, valve adjustment done. Still does the same noise, only when engine is warmed up and between that Rev range. It works fine other than the noise, but it annoys me.

I never had any issues out of it
@shahbaz-mayo2 жыл бұрын
@@sv182 you saved me bro, i was thinking to replace with new parts. But It's definitely not a rod-bearing noise, becz rod noise increases with the RPM. But its still the same on same RPM 2k-3k.

Good video. I'm deciding between h tech and s tech and this video makes me wonder. If you have a 3 finger gap now, where did it start? I'm at 4 finger stock on 05 lx coupe. Trying to be 1 to 2 finger. If you're at 3 with s techs then h tech won't even show. See where I'm going with this. Something makes no sense.
@dragonslayer14835 жыл бұрын
Yeah the advertised drop was more than what I got personally. It helped the car ride and handle less floaty, but the drop wasn't anything special. I cringe looking back on these videos though lol. My video making skills were not so good
@fotomotoxxiii5 жыл бұрын
@@dragonslayer1483 all good man. Do you still like the springs? All I'm trying to do is eliminate that floaty and bouncy feeling through turns and get a nice drop but not be slammed. It's a daily gas saver.
@dragonslayer14835 жыл бұрын
@@fotomotoxxiii if it's bouncy then your shocks/struts are bad! But I'm not sure, I haven't had the car for a year now. I see it every now and then some girl is driving it now. I think it's a good deal for the price
