Many years ago we flew Lax to lhr on a 747 and had no ife for the entire flight and the seat infront of me was broken and stuck in the recline position. I got £250 compensation in the form of a voucher.

It was in a corner in a darker seating area away from any of the food stations. it was a sofa and was very comfortable

Not trying to be picky, but Edelweiss Air is NOT the leisure subsidiary of SWISS. Both are owned by LUFTHANSA and therefore are „only“ sister airlines being members of Lufthansa Group. A minor, but very important detail down here in Switzerland. Greetings to Sweden. 😉

You’re right, the chicken and eggs looked terrible. Glad the flight attendant and first class was able to replace it with the crepes. Yes I agree, I also look forward to the United NEXT retrofits are comeplete because it won’t matter if they switch the aircraft if they all have the same amenities

I fly to Poland every year and terminal B at EWR is the worst terminal of them all! That long hall past security with low lighting is a dreadful walk. Great trip report my friend!

I don’t fly Delta much, but thanks for pointing out the reason why some of their 739’s have no screens is because they are from Lion Air! You saved me from possibly boarding a Delta 739 wondering why to my surprise it has no screens since that would otherwise be so unexpected for me

Delta has been using these on longer flight segments. Seen then used alot on GRR-ATL. Which is not what they said these aircraft would be used for in their 'temporary' configuration.

Great trip report! As someone who frequently flew out of Newark, I must say Terminal B is very dated. Hopefully it can be renovated soon!

Meal looks like a regular bad economy meal. Strongly dislike those chocolate brownies. Breakfast looks way better on other airline economy. I avoid Lufthansa and Frankfurt airport. And the plane is really old. Reminds me of United.

I believe one of the reasons Delta uses their CRJ-900 on this route is because EDV has a large base in both MSP and New York, so they often need to send planes to each base. Delta does still use their mainline aircraft on this route as well.

I tried economy max on Swiss in their identical planes, and I will NEVER ever do it again. Not worth the higher price.

enjoy it while it is still in the fleet. Next year the first A-350 replacements will arrive. The will, however have more comfort, especially in business class, where the footroom will be less narrow. The new ones will be quiet and fuel-efficient.

Sadly the A350’s are ex-LATAM A350’s so it’s the identical seatmap and cabin. Business class is a 2-2-2 which is a downgrade from what it is now

Hemavan runway should be expanded to 2000m. A far better option than building an entirely new airport in Mo i Rana. Not to mention that car rental is cheaper in Sweden.

I flew on their A330 to Newark, and i can say the food i got served looks way better than what you were served, on the way too Newark we got served Meatballs and mashed potatoes and on the way home we got served chicken and rice, and i dont even know what to call the food you got served tbh😂

A very sad-looking catering service on this flight, especially it's Singapore Airlines whose everyone has high expectation for. Just thinking about the passengers who had already been tired from the first leg SIN-FRA, it must be terrible for them. Anyway, I'm glad that they're back at what we're used to on SQ flight
