I did buy a sub 1 couple months ago and I have a little house party couple days ago and was first time really I push them hard not over limit the light was on green all time but after 1 hour of playing I feel little bit of electrical smell like burning rubber but was not anything wrong with sub's so still sonds perfect . The bose sounds more natural and is slightly smaller whereas the JBL has a bit more upper mids and bass and is slightly bigger. Personally I would go with the Bose.
