Grande musicista di gran spessore compositivo e sensibilita' tecnica. Segue la tradizione che sul suo strumento, il violino, vede molti grandi artisti del suo paese essersi distinti a livello internazionale e aver segnato tempi e storia

J'ai assisté hier au festival Jazz en Comminges à Saint-Gaudens à la prestation de Fiona Monbet Quintet. Epoustouflant. La complicité marquée de respect entre Fiona et ses musiciens donnait l'impression de frères et soeurs, de cousins et cousines qui avaient passé leurs étés de jeunesse ensemble. Quant aux compositions, elles me racontaient des histoires (Tango, Bossanova, musique irlandaise) que l'on retrouve rarement dans le jazz. Au même titre que ce morceau joué à Marciac que je trouve plein de vie et d'émotions. En se rapprochant de la technique, la musique de jazz a parfois tendance à s'éloigner de l'humain ; vous faites exactement le contraire. Bravo ! Continuez !
