Thank you, Britain, for handing Rhodesia over to destruction and perdition in your liberal self-righteousness. NOBODY gained from it. Isn't it ironical that the fate of little Rhodesia has now descended upon the once Great British Isles, just look at your land.. Karma's a bitch.

I was raised in Zim during the Bush War, 1968-79. For the privileged few, Zim was wonderful. For the vast majority - regardless of the appalling future under Mugabe et al. - it was hell. The settlers kicked the natives off the fertile SW-to-NE plateau and into the hot, low-lying lowveld, racked by sleeping sickness and malaria, where they had to live in poverty-stricken, so-called "Tribal Trustlands", (= South African bantustans). Race laws mandated where one could own land and live. Successive white governments spent much on white education while severely restricting the education of indigenous Zimbabweans. Indeed, a law passed in the 1930s explicitly prevented the education and training of black Zimbabweans for anything beyond semi-skilled work; they could not legally attend technical colleges, let alone universities. Until 1977, only privately funded mission schools and (ironically) the black colleges and universities of apartheid South Africa permitted Zimbabweans to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded by modern economies, so that there were far too few indigenous Zimbabweans ready to take over the roles vacated by whites. Almost all white families lived in swish bungalows surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens, which contrasted greatly with the terrible living conditions of many residents of Britain. It was typical for white Rhodesian families to have two to four servants, adults who were degradingly referred to as "girls" and "boys". These servants lived in squalid little huts tucked away in the corners of gardens, many with no electricity and no hot water. Many of these servants were separated from their families by long distances, worked long hours, received very little pay and no healthcare, pension, and unemployment benefits; it was usual for white families to peremptorily lay-off servants with no provision for their well-being. It was impossible for those fired to go to court. Servants received poor food: usually a monotonous diet of cheap white maize meal (sadza) and the remains of carcasses after whites had taken all the choice cuts; these bags of bones and offal were called "ration packs" and could be bought at any butchery. Many businesses had separate entrances and tills for non-whites. As a kid, I often felt wretched upon hearing white business owners treating black workers and customers as dirt. At school, many of my fellow (white) pupils were shockingly racist and took their racism for granted. However, it was only many years later that I learnt that the fathers of two of my school friends had been imprisoned by the Smith regime for opposing the ruling party's racism, leaving their wives and families in a difficult position. Ian Smith had fought in the Battle of Britain, but by the 1960s he was a short-sighted twerp who was worshipped unquestioningly by the vast majority of Rhodesian whites, even as many young white school-leavers were being maimed and killed. The Rhodesian Regime ran an extremely effective propaganda machine, leading whites as if they were cattle with rings through their noses. Many were led to the slaughterhouse. At its peak, the white population numbered about 250,000 while the black population at the same time numbered 6 million: the lowest ratio therefore being 24:1. Very rarely, I still bump into "when wes". This is embarrassing, as almost all "when wes" are still under the spell of the Rhodesian Regime and prone to spout paternalistic cr*p such as: "Our [!] blacks were the best-treated and happiest in Africa." Oddly, the worst of the worst are often those who actually fought during the Bush War, and their closest relatives. They know all too well the price exacted to maintain Ian Smith's "fools paradise". Yet, despite all that and the horrible continuous feeling of guilt, I admit that Rhodesia offered me a glorious childhood. But MY skin is white.

I visited Zimbabwe-Rhodesia (as it was then called) in 1979. When staying at the Victoria Falls Hotel, I saw a sign in my room saying, "In the unlikely event of a terrorist attack, please move to the central hallways." (Unrelated to politics, I also saw signs there while walking along the Zambezi River--which had virtually no visitors at the time--saying, "Beware of crocodiles." Kind of a scary sign when walking alone with nobody else in sight!)

I went to Zimbabwe in 1996. The old remnants of Rhodesia still existed, but it was dying noticeably, slowly and surely. Its currency was still strong but within a decade it wasn’t even worth the paper it was printed on.

As soon as you learn that the world is run by literally a handful of very wealthy Globalists who control when a War or conflict shall start and when it shall end, then you will finally understand how history really works. The role of the Media, which bytheway the wealthy Globalists also own, is merely to spin the story into a narrative which sounds plausible and reasonable but is never interested in proclaiming the Truth.

A lot of the group pictures like at 2:41 is a military personnel bbq. The tennis players are both RLI. It’s too bad that they couldn’t come to some sort of peace with out the rulers becoming crooks and bandits. It was doing so well, all they needed was black Africans to be represented. But to much ideology and things go to ruin.
