In the early 70's surf mats were everywhere, they were green on one side and yellow on the other. ....and one of the seams would always blow out and you'd end up with one giant rib and two small ones.....lol

I'm 76, it's 2023...I live in KY now..still have a Greenough flex fin I bought from Gregg Liddle in Agoura back in the early 80's....still have it..I used it often on a lot of boards. It was NOS when I bought it from Gregg.

I remember in the 70,sguys were hotdogging on their green canvas & yellow rubber air mats-stand up surfing, when the break was black balled for surfers.

Kneeboarding often looks geeky but George had fluid drive. He could read waves and get acceleration that wasn’t in surfing in the 60’s, paving the way for new surfboard designs. Ex knee boarder.

I grew up riding those things... they usually either had a confederate flag or a Budweiser logo on them.
