Schwartz is an absolute cripple. Couldn’t back a winner to save himself, then becomes a reformed gambler, and goes on TV programmes telling everyone he was reformed, meanwhile he was still betting with plenty of bookmakers and betting shops. The guy is a liar and a loser.

MWC broke the mold and made channel 25 live. These kids today think this is way over the top and too insulting for their delicate feelings. This show doesn’t give a damn about your feelings. What it cares about is making people laugh and at times they are very profound as TAXI was,

Funniest part is the gambling junkie Schwartz calling one of the smartest businessmen in the league, Craig Kelly dumb.

What an appalling comment. The Ox was referring to Craig's actions in a specific scenario on the footy field. And yes, he had his challenges with gambling, which he has owned, has been clean now for 20-years, and now works in the field of addiction helping others with their challenges. If you want to throw comments like that from the sidelines, then knock yourself out. Just know that a comment like the one you've made says nothing about The Ox, but speaks volumes about you.

Its hard to appreciate another cultures humor. MWC pushed the limits of a highly regulated era of broadcast television. The network was fined for violations and you can tell by the content when they neutered the show.

Grinter eventually got his comeuppance in Tasmania. Got ironed out in a TFL game with the biggest hip and shoulder by Glenorchy's Robert "Googsy" Gourlay at North Hobart in a final. Grinter was then playing coach of New Norfolk.

I like this lawn as much as i like porn. Not, that is. Lawns are just ecological deserts. Great space to plant some local flowering plants though. Looks good, and has a more positive ecological impact than a lawn. Also: shaming your neighbour into submission just sounds wrong on so many levels.

@@CoupleofBlokesPod Lol, depends on the party i guess. I just don't like lawns a lot, to me they are missed opportunities more than anything. I felt like sharing this different point of view, too bad i got shamed for it. But yeah, i kinda saw that coming as soon as i hit send. Personally i'm not a lawn person but everybody who is can be proud if they did this level of upkeep. You did a good job. It's tight and green and i don't see any dandylions or daisies. Gotta give you kudos for that. It takes quite a lot of effort and resourses to maintain a 'golf tee' lawn.

@@marynoonan6111 Youre not wrong, it was a tough game. He would hip and shoulder and clean guys up "within the rules", players could get away with it back then. Its the "King hits" from players that i hated, when a guy has no chance of defending himself....and there were plenty of dirty gutless snipers back in the old days doing that.

Was that the prelim Grinter got Mew? He couldnt get a kick in the grand final. No doubt still concussed. Amazed Schwartz didnt name Dipper after fixingbup Flower and Wilson in the same game. I always hated the fact the dirty blokes took out fair players and not each other (except for Balme taking out Ditterich).
@paultyson4389
@paultyson4389 6 ай бұрын
Not really true. Balme came to Norwood, initially as a player/coach and his white line fever hadn't abated one iota. He still used to hit guys, but both big and small. Neil was the master of having his eyes fixed firmly on the ball and then punching the guy going for the mark fair in the face. He never missed and he often got away with it. Steven Kerley (formerly from Melbourne) played for Norwood but then switched to North Adelaide. I vividly remember Balme smashing Kerley in the face. I heard him talking about the incident not so long ago and he said he'd got pissed off with Kerley because he kept playing on when he kicked out to get an extra stat. Mmmm, it seemed like a rather weak excuse for lowering the boom on him, but whatever. I have this dramatic photo of Balme taking a high contested chest mark against Carlton and another tough guy, Vin Waite, is smashing him to the side of the head with everything he had
