Even though it's a fiction film, the cinematic backdrop looks as realistic as one could imagine. I am a fan of Panh's work. I think he really nails this one. It's quite compelling. I can't wait to see the whole film.

This movie hit close to home, it’s a masterpiece and truly captures how csa affects someone and their behavior later in life. As a survivor myself I understood the characters

I watched this in 2016 with a girl from Canada I met online who came to visit me in NYC. She told me it was a fucked up thing to watch with someone you just met. she was pretty disturbed by it. We ended up cuddling and fucking and taking showers together but she almost left because of it. I then took her to explore this abandoned apartment building at Coney Island she said later she thought I was going to kill her there. She said her spirit animals was a glass frog. Apparently there’s these real frogs that are transparent.

This has to be one of the worst trailers I've ever seen, especially after having watched the actual movie, which is really good. I feel like by cynically dumbing-down and completely misrepresenting it in a cheesy attempt to appeal to a "wider audience," they actually ended up appealing to nobody.

When I watched the film, it reminded me of myself when I was 9 years old and experienced sexual harassment. I kept trembling and crying throughout the film. It’s a horrible feeling, and I felt the emptiness and the same emotions I felt when I was 9 years old. It’s truly a terrible feeling. I do not recommend anyone who has experienced sexual harassment or assault to watch it. It will only make you feel empty, horrible, and make you tremble. I can’t forget anything. “And now I’m 17, about to turn 18, and I haven’t truly moved past anything.
