Do you suppose he regrets recording such banging vocals at this point in a tour? I would say he still killed it. But damn that's gotta be tough night after night,

Its crazy how clean his playing is. Mrak and Misha get all the recognition but theyll say as well, Jake is the cleanest by a mile. Apparently he practices the most too. Remember kids, talent is a myth. Its all hard work and dilligence

Considering this was recorded on a phone and his voice still sounds almost flawless, his vocal prowess is something phenomenal

I am a bit concerned he is using to much backing vocals perhaps here? I have the impression the backing vocals are doing quite some heavy lifting? Might be the live recording tho

they didn't do the sweep part live? when I saw them in silver spring and Misha played the sweep part. that's wild that they removed it. it was fair because Misha had a solo on wildfire and Atropos, mark had a solo on the bad thing, and jake had a solo on follow your ghost and marigold.

Of course. It's a concept album that evokes emotions. Why do you downplay studio magic like it's a bad thing? The performance was great either way.
@pauldg6631 Жыл бұрын
I believe Dan acknowledged the impossibility of imitating that section in an interview with that guy named Chris Liepe, due to how little to no time is available to make proper breaths

I am in awe of this song, as well as this show! I drove 3 hours all by myself to finally see them after following their career since 2011! It was SOOO worth it!! Bought a regular ticket, then upgraded to VIP when I got there, cause I just couldn't help myself! 😆Went to the Museum of Science and Industry beforehand, saw the Pompeii exhibit and everything else they had to offer. What an extraordinary day!!

I love how Daniel uses effects like echo and reverb to extend notes in difficult passages. First time I listened to the record, I was worried about him being able to do the studio version's justice live. Glad to see they put thought on how to execute these things in an organic way. Kudos!
