the ? mark above your bases area has an Alpaca pup that you can carry back to your base and grow so you can ride it.

You mean on the bases on the map ? I thought that those ? marks are undiscovered ruins and it will populate with 'guarded by beasts/outcasts' once I'll discover them. I'll take a look at that map again today. Thanks for the tip and thanks for being here @Richdsils.

Hi there @rafalbujnowski288, in the starting place you have a terminal. Activate the Old Hub mission (the first one). Grab one power cell, go there, open the gate and get into the main office. There will be a blueprint on the table with the building tool and some blueprints for different buildings. It's all in the first episode of this series. Thanks for being here.

I thought you were gonna play as a female toon for a second, like I do a lot, because it's the only time in my life I can ask a "female" to do anything and she'll just do it without an argument. Pls, go forward... She just does it. Pls, go left... She just does it. Attack! She just does it. _It's a-maz-ing!_ Didn't even have to spend $600 on a court admissible DNA test(!) If you're gonna look at someone's butt all day, it might as well be a nice female toon's butt. I think I noticed that playing WoW or SWTOR... then Fallout 4, naked with mods... or was it that Dragon game of the same broke arsed company with a garden gnome CEO Todd... (hate that guy.) Just saying. 😎 I have green eyes, so I may be related to these types of guys. I think some women slept with me just because of my eye color... I know my ex-wife married me because of my green eyes. Turned out to be more of a curse I guess. Is this game like a much better graphics version of Valheim? I liked Valheim until the mountain biome, complete fubar of the whole experience, imo. Idk if you know, but if you get sent to Freya she works you for eternity, while the other half of the dead warriors that go to Odin, party all the time... Idk what they do without women though... Ruh roh. Maybe I do (!) I'll make sure I keep my back to the wall if I get there...

Design a grid system to describe where things are. For example, use the number key layout so you could note 'Gold: H2-5' so gold in square H2 position 5 (dead center). Don't know what your keyboard looks like but the number top right would represent top right of the square. This should put you in the ball park and make it easier to find stuff - especially if you mark it with poles for example.

That’s a pretty good idea. Simple but effective. If you have two nodes very close to each other you could have H2-5A and H2-5B where A and B are assigned based on their proximity to top left / bottom right. Once you have configurable beacons my system is the rock icon for non-precious ores, and the rock with crystals icon for precious ores. I use light blue for iron, green for copper, yellow for sulphur and gold, orange for aluminium (and clay on Prometheus), pink for platinum, grey for titanium, white for silica and salt (silica being the precious of the two), black for coal (and obsidian on Prometheus). Oxite has messed up my system a little because it has to be blue of course but it isn’t really a ‘precious’ ore - I may treat it as such anyway to differentiate it from iron.

If you take out the 'empty' biofuel can but the composter is still crafting then the can is not full. If the crafting stops, the can is full.

I guess the difficulty is when you have multiple empty containers in the composter it is hard to tell the moment one finishes and the next starts because the increments are so small. The simplest solution would be to make the progress increments larger and therefore easier to see and perhaps have multiple crafting clicks per increment.

Those stone cairns are tiny, you have a lot more chances to see the drill before you see that one. Nevertheless @itsmeagain1745 idea it's great. Maybe 3-4 stone columns, when we'll have power a light bulb on them .... just Amazing. Thanks to both of you.

@@The_B.i.g. Urgh, yep, the cairns don't even put a generic marker on the map and, like you say, whatever you're marking is more visible than they are! The only good thing they do is allow you to add notes to points of interest but I struggle to see a use for that unless you're very forgetful or for multiplayer.

I think their intended use was to 'commemorate' your lost mounts and maybe just to leave some notes in different places. But whatever use they thought they'll have I don't find them very useful. As far as I remember, possible nodes are in the same place for each open world map but the contents are different on each map. So copper this map may be coal on another map and nothing on a third map.

One of my maps has salt and aluminium on top of one another. If I put a biofuel drill on it it extracts salt and if I use an electric deep mining drill it extracts aluminium. I’ve not had a node that appears on Icarus Intel but is nothing on my map (yet!).

I feel like they changed the locations a bit, I have node in a cave that's not present on Icarus Intel. @itsmeagain1745, I was not so pleased with that salt node because I was there with the BIG Sister and the ore scanner when I created the world and that one it was copper. So it was already established. Nevertheless now it was salt. All it's good nevertheless since we've found copper even closer. Thanks for being here @itsmeagain1745 and @vikingbrit270.

I was unable to open the door but after several clicks I unlocked a blueprint for a corridor door. Where are you getting Nickel? After harvesting all the nodes they no long spawn for me

That's the secret, the blueprint for the corridor door. You just have to try to access-it like 25 times :) .I get some nickel from mining silver asteroids (auto-miner) nevertheless not a huge quantity. Thanks for being here @meskeeto.

You have to try to get an animal and level it as soon as you can. I have a horse and angry chicken both over level 40. It's almost too o.p., getting around is so much easier.

Aesthetically, the vehicles should 'roll' to the left or right instead of staying on the same plane when turning. Additionally, I never tried out the Base Colours and I'd like to see what it does.

ACTUALLY: Mass is the quantity or measure of inertia in an object and doesn't change whether you're in Space or on Earth - pushing a 2 ton object requires less energy in Space simply because you're not fighting against Gravity or Air Resistance - but still requires considerable energy. G-Force directly impacts manoeuvrability even in Space since it's truly a measure of Acceleration and Change of direction. Making an almost 90 Degree turn while accelerating in Space will certainly impact you!

The Asteroid Field looks a LOT denser then it did even during your last episode! Additionally, ask the Devs if there's any way that when you create, for example, a storage container, the front of it faces you - so that I don't have to turn EVERY spawned object?

Thanks for the great idea of placing auto miner next to iridium field. If you want to fit a lot of storage lockers and save room then place then so their short sides are to the wall as close as possible.

It's green and black meteor. There are big ones behind the big meteor behind spawn point. Usually there are less dangerous small ones between spawn and the huge meteor where you got the stack of iron bars.

Hi there @zerowaterkr. When you're getting out from your initial spawn place look left and behind that shuttle. You'll see a huge asteroid with a hole in it that has some green stuff on the walls of that hole. If you pass thru that hole on this asteroid on the other side there's a field full with the iridium asteroids. They are green in color. I hope this helps you. Why didn't you just disassemble the first ship - that way you'd have needed to use far less resources. The Sumon is a far better craft that has storage and oxygen.

It crossed my mind @Bob.Jenkins but in one of my previous adventures I did that and after what I stupidly died far away and respawned at my base I had to make oxygen tanks and fly to my summon. If I had the Skipper at the base it would of been just amazing. So the space bike (Skipper) it's my backup vehicle in case things go wrong. Thanks for being here.

@@The_B.i.g. On reflection - I had that same problem... dying and respawning at my Base but, thankfully, I had the resources to create another Sumon. 😌 PS. Could you ask the Developers whether their going to make 'upgrading' to the larger Habitat Battery worthwhile. As it stands - it occupies two sites that I could fill with 2 smaller Batteries for more energy storage, which kind of defeats the point.

Did that suggestion for the battery when we only had the Demo version. The developer said it will be like this for the Demo and for the Prologue but in the final game everything will be re-balanced.

Hi there @marianogaray5750, I don't build that one because it stores just a tiny bit more energy while the cost for building that new variant it's unjustified (much higher) so I believe it's better just to build the classic one. If the devs will increase the storage capacity or drop the build cost of the second tier I'll do-it but as it is right now I don't think it's worth-it. Thanks for being here.

Found nodes in each of the two bases, one in space on the way to Cpt Matthews and another three or four nodes in that bubble bottom right when you-re getting out of the start point. Don’t forget you can make some space by picking up your crafting bench and just use the machining bench. As far as I know it supports all the same crafting options.

@@The_B.i.g. Ah OK, I tend to ditch the older benches and make multiple of the newer benches. If I recall correctly they craft faster. For example I have an extra fabricator dedicated to making electronics rather than keeping the machining bench.

I didn't have a machining bench handy at my current outpost and I don't currently have the resources to waste on making one. I'm guessing that will be somewhere in between.

Thanks for your coverage of Soulmask, I never found a source for thick hide as you needed it to make bronze armour, a couple of days before the end of the demo they added alligator leather as an alternative for the bronze armour... Needed a lot of copper and tin.. The alpacca bleating became irritating very quickly, it was shown the butchers knife a few times...All the best.

I just realized that this is a fictional representation of space, because I don't see the Earth on an infinite stack of tortoises that support it "all the way down," anywhere, but I like the graphic and gameplay changes from the last playthru along with what looks like more areas to explore.

@@The_B.i.g. I think we would have to be enlightened beings to see the tortoises, but given I had a Level 4 Satori experience, I thought that was good enough... Now I'm thinking, probably not. The funniest thing about meditation/enlightenment achievements is that your instructor will say, "that's nice," now forget about it, it isn't important. I was like, damn, and here I thought I could do a little victory dance. Nope. That being said, I can still feel my hands repel each other if I face them together and relax for a second. That would be the most persistent physical hallucination eva. I could do that since the Satori experience and that was 3 decades or so ago.

You have to stop moving when you are bleeding because you will continually bleed and it refreshes the bleed counter.
