This helped me find the blue cave. Thanks! I wasn't prepared the first time I went into the red cave and I died. I had to jet myself back because it left my skipper outside the cave door. I didn't have an outpost nearby to spawn to. I did have a corridor with a miner sitting on it close by so I brought the stuff with me to add an airlock to it so it would respawn me there instead if it happened again. I only have maybe a dozen or hours in subnatica but i can understand the comparisons. I have hundreds of hours into The Planet Crafter (just under 1k) and I feel like some of this game came from there too.

35:17 Yep you do have to make that jump, missed it on my first run. If you unlock the Laboratory you may find 2 Power core, that's how i made the solar panel which was a waste for me since you can't turn them off. 1:12:15 The Icicle was kinda nice but it's fire rate is not fast enough, unlike the Rapid Burst but you can use the fission fuel waste to make ammo, if it was automated it would have been really helpfull. The big station you get after the Chapter 1 prompt if you loot everything, you can have enough ressources to test a good amount of Machines on an other savefile.

I just started playing and accidentally discovered today that I didn't need to have the power panels directly attached to the habitat the machines were in. Just needed to be nearby. I had decided i had put my base too low and far away from asteroids after unlocking the corridor miner, so I started a new one above it a bit and was surprised that all the lights were already on. I like what you have done with the power. I think I will try that. Thanks!

The only way you’ll be able to finish that sphere quickly will be to scale up. To do that you first need to automate the production of commonly used buildings such as mk3 belts, mk3 sorters, assemblers, smelters, chemical facilities, power poles, wind turbines, solar panels, towers, drones, ships and warpers. This will allow you to ramp up production on other planets and bring stuff back for making rockets and solar sails. Usually buildings are automated early on and updated over time however that product bus of yours would make it easy to do it now.

You should set priority on the splitter to take hydrogen to casimir crystal production. That way only what you’re not using goes to the burners. By the way you chain the burners - the first burner takes from the belt and a sorter can take from that burner and feed another burner. This means you don’t have to keep extending only in one direction.

I'm a little less mad now. I did some investigation trying to figure why my Icarus is so broken. I was on Prometheus, so I tried my Styx and Olympus worlds and they're okay. My Prometheus is unplayable. Once I either open the map or access the contact device the game either crashes or frames drop so low I can't play. At least I have 2 maps.

10:47 I waited to harvest the trees until I upgraded my drill to max level, and I got 4 seeds. I also got 2 seeds from a single harvest in the hydroponics bay as a random chance. It could all be random chance, but I'd like to think that higher level gear gets you higher yields. I couldn't ever find a recipe for fertilizer. That's the biggest impediment other than Red Celistite to crafting everything imho.

You do know that this game is called Dyson Sphere Program and not Factorio, right? A bus is extremely ineffective compared the game's towers, vessels and drones. On top of that, a single isolated production line supported by a tower is far easier to manage, easier to balance, easier to convert to a blueprint, easier to move, expand, etc, etc.

Hi BIG, I downloaded the game and when I started I had the marker of where the summon and the skipper were and after 7 oxygens I was able to get to my old base which was more than 5000 meters away and I was able to grab the sumon and I took it close to the base and I grabbed all the nickel, silver, gold, celestial and the blue crystal. I don't know what happened but I already have the summon without scanning it.

If you build to much right now your train will be really slow, try not to go over 2k with one engine. There is a screen panel in every station that tell you when the next storm is comming, i usualy go out when the storm end I wasted some blueprint and precious power core on Solar panel, they keep working even in the station, i get rid of them. I made the whole journey without the Fabricator and Body scanner.

If you are still having trouble, Larva spawn underground in the caves. I found out because thats what the robots say. -24:30:-722 is a place where they spawn a lot in my world

I’ve had problems with Logitech mice (3 of them) and Win11 where the mouse starts going real slow, even with the sensitivity cranked up. Switched to a Corsair mouse and it’s been great except very occasionally Windows doesn’t power up/recognise the mouse on startup but is fine after I reboot. Never had these issues with Win10, just Win11.

I just noticed you didn’t have any XP penalty when you died. Just looked it up and that went away with the week 89 update. That’s a shame. They should have kept it for hard mode.

Great start. I’m sure I heard a bear either in episode 1 or 2. Surprised you haven’t encountered one yet. Maybe I misremembered about the entrance to the cave having one nearby or they changed it.

I'm just mad at Icarus now. Networks are still really broken, and the decline in performance with each update is making game unplayable. The constant sputtering is making me fall off cliffs and ramps and is ruining combat.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up for new content. Past changes were just conversions of existing missions to operations which appears to be what this is: “This will complete our Olympus Operations project, with all applicable missions now converted over.” It is annoying that they use the phrase “brand new” because conversions of existing missions is not that.

I have hard mode prospects for each map. To be honest I didn’t really notice much difference except perhaps more frequent storms and horde mode on the enzyme geyser was more difficult. I’ve seen people do a Ring Lake start on Styx with a new character for an extra challenge. Obviously there is the option of a desert or arctic start but that can be super grindy without wood and fibre.
