Captain Internet here. Although this precious train horns quite loud, it is highly advisable to be very quiet. What we see here is a middle aged ET44 in it’s natural habitat. Look at this beauty. This trains spend their time inbetween natural sources of products like factories or mines and rarely meet in so called depots where they mate or groom each other. Although these peaceful giants of the American Flora belong to large groups of, they rarely see their own as they travel long distances all from south to north and east to west. However, once a while a ET44 leaves it’s „company“ and strolls disorientated through the country looking for a connection to another company. They are very vounerable in this time. With their horn they try to attract attention from other trains to join their company. This also is a symbol of their strength and capabilities. If you make the wrong noise the train might think another company might be nearby and jump of the tracks. And as we know there majestic examples of natures beauty are no good lying on their back in the sand. But if you remain silent, you can watch these amazing wonders of our planet first hand.

If you live in ATL ga and railfan inman yard like loco then this lash up is really normal. Especially since most of the time norfolk southern likes to give older units to leaser companies.

honestly it makes it look like a real engine because sometimes the emblem is messed up and broken on real life trains so I think it made the video better
