my older brother passed away suddenly just over 3 weeks ago. He was 43. This song resonates too well.

Once I was the youngest now the middle branch Hung from the family tree Older than my first born brother Never made it quite to 43 Let it ring let the bell ring out for you May it sing of your beautiful truth Take your leave on the rising tide Travel slow enjoy the ride Everyone is waiting on the ticking bomb That lies beneath their skin Nonetheless we carry on like we were born For breathing poison in Let it ring let the bell ring out for you May it sing of your beautiful truth Take your leave on the rising tide Travel slow enjoy the ride You're right where you belong 'Neath Blue Toowong Skies Cut so deep in our bones You surround those of us you love Let it ring let the bell ring out for you May it sing of your beautiful truth Take your leave on the rising tide Travel slow enjoy the ride Let it ring let the bell ring out for you May it sing of your beautiful truth Take your leave on the rising tide Travel slow enjoy the ride

What a unique, stunning voice... makes you glad you are able to simply listen to such artistic brilliance - some make music... and some live it in your soul.. I dedicate this song to all you who hurt..all who hate the way your life has disappointed you time after time... for all your disillusionment and pain... let this beautiful song wash it in love...

Remember hearing this in Nambour on a random evening Bernard. Then we `randomly caught the last gig in that tour at Siromet when you were basically a metal band. I thought you were going to play Thunderstruck for the encore. What is Life was an awesome surprise the first time though... Despite your musical journey as a band, and as people, this song remained still and sweet and aching though mate. Thanks. Kind of still keen to hear you do Thunderstruck though.
