As a very experienced PC player, I do not recommend the game to anyone. MMOs are not like single player where # hours = value for money. I wish I had my hours back, knowing where the game ended up.

I played both of the betas - did the first storyline for new world on the series X - New world looks a lot better and you buy the game with no microtransactions (however throne and liberty was very fun) but timers and the waiting game for a free to play game will hit later on with paywalls and other things. I do like grinding and doing missions and side quests before tackling the main quest with new world it seems theres a lot to do , throne and liberty with there timed events to progress through the story i found to be annoying - waiting an hour or 2 to complete an area, then wait another couple of hours to complete the next area, and if you stuff up and miss one thing you have to wait another couple of hours to try again. Whereas new world your not restricted by time and quest progession is straight forward without the fustration, of timed events , plus if you miss something it can take you ages to get back there and complete it and unlock the next level perks. But again thats the pros and cons of paying for a game and getting it for free, there was no way I was paying for 5 days early access of throne or liberty, when its a free game with microtransactions. But new world $89 AUD and no waiting for timed events and straight forward level progression without barriers would be worth purchasing if it gives me 100s of hours of fun gameplay.

you have to buy DLC to play on aeternum, so base game is not enough... this turns a red alarm about cash grab, so yea, 90% of veterans dont belive it will succeed, myself only... id play if i could using only base game, but paying another 30 euro for dlc, just to check if its gonna survive, is worst possible model. Gonna enjoy throne and liberty, without risking 60+ bucks

Not a fan of the direction they took with combat. Going full on ARPG, with PoE style talent tree and 2 tag along NPCs detracts from traditional Dragon Age gameplay. However from an ARPG gamer perspective, it does look good. They made the right choice copying Path of Exile's talent tree. Combat is fluid and fast paced. Melee attacks have weight to them. Magic and Bow still sucks though, they look like they're shooting nerf supersoakers. I like that the combat is flashy, love the eye candy. Imo they should have included a 4th class dedicated to Archers/Rangers. Rogue spec, skills & talents are build around dual dagger assassin gameplay. Bow is just a secondary. One bad design of their combat is the excessive dodging & kiting, not sure if its inherent to the gameplay or the player just suck at the game. I don't mind combat leaning more to auto attacks(light & heavy + charged, like in ESO) but combat where you are dodging, blocking & kiting HALF the time is bad gameplay. Even souls-like games don't have that much dodging because they made dodging a tactical move with a stamina resource. Other non souls-like games like ESO also have a stamina bar as defensive maneuvers(dodge, kiting, blocking) are meant to be a tactical move. The primer & detonator combo feels like a tag on mechanic so that they can include companions in your journey. On the surface it looks too simplified but maybe there's more depth to it, we'll see. Maybe they can make the mechanic interact with the environment like in DOS2/BG3. Right now the entire mechanic is basically just stacking the enemies CC meter and then blow it up. You're spending more time looking at the CC meter instead of your own health, enemies, your cooldowns and party members. Which probably explains why the player in the preview is dodging so much but still eats the telegraphed AoE.

Not fantastic for sure, may be serviceable is the word, passable maybe but not fantastic.

I like the combat too, especially for Rogue. Just sad how minimal companions are for it. Less equipment, smaller skill tree, no HP bars, no defense stat, no armor set, they cant take damage so cant die. They're just battle minions with chip dmg.

i love the game but the cameran had certain problem when it come to the boss figthing and lagging sometime hopefully they fix some bug fix. bur overall the boss, secert boss and area, exploring the area, skill tree and etc it is so fun, best the game so far

This game looks great the character models graphics look amazing the voice acting is well done the story is well written the combat looks fluid and fun l realize it is early in the game so access to your abilities,skills,and spells will progress later on as you progress farther in the game the boss battles look challenging and fun l have kept my eye on this game for what l have seen from the trailers and had a strong feeling about getting this game but now after seeing your video l am convinced l am definitely going to get this game thank you for showing me this video

I'm equally excited for the game! FWIW: I'm an OG player (still play BG1, BG2, and DAO periodically). Quick note: the dwarven magic has already been dripped-introduced to us via Sandal (in DA2 he says when he turned the darkspawn to stone that it is "not enchantment"). And, then Valta in the Descent DLC for DAI. Basically, it's titan magic. But, no doubt they'll explain it more fully in the game. :-)

From what I have been reading, is that New Worlds problem is the little drops they have dont since release. However I have also ready the combat system and pvp in New world is definitely better, but TAL has more pvp modes. IF new world makes a flip and starts releasing content more consistently, then new world 100% seems like the answer.

This might be the best look & feel of a game out of the box. Absolute respect!
