How much does your SG weigh, and why? As you know, SGs are typically lightweight. Cheers.

Only need an FX loop if you are using the gain channel on the amp. Straight in is fine if your gain stages are before the delay into a clean (ish) amp. If preamp gain comes from the amp it mushes out delay from the front.

Question, can you use normal guitar lead to connect Amped3 to a cab, or do you have to use actual speaker lead?
@riffwithcliffКүн бұрын
I’m pretty sure you need a speaker cable. The Amped is an actually an amplifier so it would require a speaker cable to a cab.

Technically, chorus is a time based effect and should be in the effects loop as well. However, pedal placement is subjective and you can put them wherever you'd like. That's what I love about this tone thing we chase.

Great video dude! I remember discovering the effects loops for the first time and how exciting that was with delay and reverb. I’d love to see how to arrange pedals with a switchboard! One of the challenges I have playing live is going from rhythm to lead where I was a boost in volume, a little more gain, and delay.

Ive had a set of his Modern 7 set in one of his signature LTD's for years. I modded that guitar so that every option the pickups have can be selected from the push/pulls in the pots an from three way switches. The only option that isnt available outside the guitar is the HF tilt option and i have that wired to a three way switch inside the control cavity. His Modern set is the same Neck as a regular Fluence Modern Neck Alnico pickup. So the only difference in his sig set is the bridge. And i do like his signature ceramic bridge pickup but i like the regular modern bridge a bit more.

P90s are sick
@riffwithcliffАй бұрын
One of my favorites
@NoBSMusicReviewsАй бұрын
P90s are my fave. Especially the superb P90 on my St. Blues 61 South. What is it? I dunno. Possibly a Lollar. P90s still have the 'purity' I find in Single Coils. Sure, humbuckers are useful, but I only own a single guitar with humbuckers. The rest are all single-coils, from vintage Danelectros to Fenders, to various P-90s. I am currently installing Retrosound P90s on my Epiphone WildKat.
@riffwithcliffАй бұрын
Nice! It sounds like you have a wide selection!
@DieFischbudeАй бұрын
I like to think about pickups more in terms of actual construction and the most interesting part for me is "where are the magnets?" In "Fender style" pickups the polepieces ARE the magnets while "Gibson style" pickups like P90s or Humbuckers have metal polepieces with a large magnet underneath. With the magnet closer to the strings Fenders are less compressed and brighter. And then there is the actual size of the pickup. While singlecoils only pick up a small strip of the string, P90s and humbuckers are wider and more length of string is captured. This means more bass and mids. So while the P90 is a single coil and thus prone to hum it's actually much closer to a humbucker in other factors of its construction. If you can get your hands on them try a Jazzmaster (with special pickups which are NOT P90. They have a similar size but are constructed like single coils and have a very interesting sounds) or any guitar with real wide range humbuckers (essentially a "Fender style Humbucker and I really love them) There are of course many factors that color the sound of a pickup and that's why it is funny you used a Telecaster to show of single coils. The bridge pickup has a metal base plate which shapes the magnetic field and leads to a snappier sound compared to a Strat and the neck pickup is a bit smaller and has a metal plate so it's really its own thing.
