Nepenthes flava is a slender pitcher plant endemic to North Sumatra. Its habitat is a cloudy and mossy montane forest with short, small-leaved trees and shrubs (possibly due to strong wind or poor soil). It also likes to climb onto Rhododendrons, Leptospermums, and tall ferns. 1800-2200m.#carnivorousplant #pitcherplant #sumatranplant #nepenthes #nepenthesflava #5*|7 答腊植物 #食虫植物 #猪笼草 Nepenthes

The fairy lantern (Corybas barbarae) is a small terrestrial orchid endemic to eastern QLD and NSW (north of Sydney). The hairy labellum is covered by a large, curved, and inflated dorsal sepal. The linear lateral sepals are tiny (2mm), and the minute petals (1mm) are hidden by the labellum. It is believed that fungus gnats are its pollinators. Apart from that, little is known about its reproduction and dispersal mechanism.#orchid #australianorchids #corybas #terrestrialorchid #凱当#澳洲植物# 澳洲兰花#地生兰

Nepenthes jacquelinee is endemic to West Sumatra, primarily epiphytic, occasionally terrestrial. The habitat is cool and foggy montane cloud forests and moss forests. The colourful upper pitchers catch flying insects, while the lower pitchers hide in moss and catch small invertebrates like snails. It has been heavily collected for its high market value, and we only found a handful of plants during our hikes. #carnivourousplant #nepenthes #pitcherplant #floraofsumatra #nepenthesjacquelineae #5\7 答腊植物 #食虫植物 #贾桂琳猪笼草 #猪笼草

Old tree stumps left by the logging industry many years ago will keep burning after a bushfire. Following the root system, the fire goes deep into the ground, creating dangerous fire traps in the forest, and they stay hot even after the flame/smoke is no longer visible. #bushfire

Picea smithiana, originally from the western and central part of the Himalayans, is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 60m tall. @@wenbochen853 Thanks I thought you might have been somewhere else in the world. I'm in country WA- my annual rainfall 500mm, and some seeds must have come in with some compost/soil and started growing in a container. I started to divvie it up and plant it in various parts of the garden, different micro-climates and sunlight to see what happens. I'm trying to get it to become a wide area ground cover. Cheers.
