In short, I am not a fan of the remixes (re-edits) of classic tracks that have been knocking around recently. At best, these re-edits are lazy... they take a sample and repeat it over a crisp 4/4 kick and add a slightly different bassline. However, in Luca's case you can hear that he understands what the original is all about. Luca's remix is an homage to the original. He's saying "yes I understand, I know what you are saying... can I please ADD" Luca's mix takes nothing away. It's the most respectful remix. It's not the original. It's the original's younger brother. Does that make sense?
