Andy here: I believe you are mixing clairvoyance and enlightenment. When enlightenment is a state, we cannot possibly understand what it is until we reach it. How could IKYA then demonstrate enlightenment in a verifiable way to you? Also, why would he or any enlightened consciousness be interested in demonstrating or proving anything? What is your definition of enlightenment? For me, enlightenment has nothing to do with being able to know someone else's shoe size. How would that ability serve an enlightened consciousness in any useful way? Your question definitely peaks my curiosity about your perspectivel

Andy here at IKYA Center: Mantras are a form of prayer and have been practiced all over the world at all times for as long as humans have existed - including in the Abrahamic traditions of Christianity, Islam and Judaism - and they are indeed a practice to get closer to God. We emphasize that there are paths and practices for each consciousness and preference, as each person's relationship with the creator is a deeply personal one. The most important thing is that we engage in our own dialogue with God - not which language we speak in that dialogue.

Interesting, I have a thought tho. How is letting go of the attachment different from being detached to reality. I just realized as I'm writing this that accepting where we are and what we're experiencing is the key. Not being detached in the present but rather be present without judgment to change things and just be.

Thanks for your reflection. Andy here at IKYA Center: You can never be detached from reality, as reality is the only thing that truly exists, and you are a product of that reality. Detachment in a spiritual sense means to let go of your own subjective version so that you may be present to and experience what is instead of what you believe to be. So yes, acceptance is one of the many keys to spiritual detachment.

Andy here at IKYA Center: Xaver’s suggestion is a good one, to not do what the ego wants, but that requires awareness of what the ego wants versus your vertical spiritual awareness. Maybe that is step one: focus on sensing the difference between your horizontal ego awareness and your vertical spiritual consciousness.
