I doubted that MR.STAKE could actually survive a crit ice beam from Misty's Starmie (Remember that Gym Leader, Elite 4 and Champion Pokemon are genetically perfect, 31 IV's across the board) so I did the calculations online, using earlier episodes to figure out his Nature and ballpack his IV's. The result? The boy is no fraud, he really is built like that, and by that I mean a brick shithouse. He was VERY lucky to survive that attack, but he did.

After watching LG, SS and Emerald, I can confidently say I grew to love the mons that TFS also grew to love (Mr. Stake and MyEX)

This was my inspiration to choose Chikorita for my own (non-Nuzlocke) playthrough of SoulSilver! I named her Tater Tot and she was amazing! In particular, she was a _godsend_ against Whitney--since she was a girl, Attract didn't work and she had Reflect so all she had to do was keep setting up Reflects and chip away at Miltank. It was a long battle, but not a difficult one.
